'I heard she was a nuisance to the family'
'Really? I heard she couldn't bring anything valuable into the family's wealth'
'The grandmother wasn't impressed by the way she acted, she had asked the Ootori family to try and kill her and here she is now, in the Ootori estate'.
What did I ever do?
Searing pain tore through my muscles and limbs. I screamed thrashing around on the hard, cold, stone bed. Restraints held my arms down while strangers injected unknown liquids and medicines inside of me. I screamed more when a man sliced my flesh with a combat knife. I growled instead of screaming more.
"I hate you Ootori"
-
I woke up with a jolt and a heavy breath looking over at Kyouya who had a pained expression on his face. My body was soaked with sweat and the smell of disinfectant wafted into my nose.
I hate hospitals.
I looked back at Kyouya and unintentionally my eyes turned into slits, from the reminiscence of my dream. "I hate you Ootori" rang in my head a few times before I settled back onto the bed, ignoring the feeling of my soaked dress pressing onto my back.
"What made you hate us Ootori's so much?" Kyouya asked, putting his façade back on.
"You know full well, Kyouya," I heaved.
I crawled out of the infirmary bed ignoring the fact that he had comforted me earlier. Just that reminder of the past and all the bottles of medicine put me off of seeing any member of that wretched family. Even now. I will make sure Kyouya's father and my grandmother pay for destroying my life.
I exited the infirmary ignoring all the stares of sympathy and curiosity, word must have passed around quickly saying that I passed out. I went into the girl's bathroom to meet the three girls from before.
Before they could get a single word out of their mouths I growled. "I am not in the mood for your shit right now. I've had a long day, electricity shoved through my fucking body, needles poked in my skin. I'd rather not, so if you can kindly fuck off, that'd be great."
The girl stepped towards me and I walked closer to her, yanking the girl down by her collar so we were nose to nose. I glared, "don't pick a fight you won't win." For measure, I kicked her shin hard.
"Ow!" The girl cried out clutching her leg, running off. A few people to look into the bathroom, and received a tiny wave and smile.
I heard the host club walking close to the bathroom and I quickly ran and shut the door.
Takashi's deep voice filled the silence in the bathroom. "Kyouya, from what I have seen, she is much deeper than the average person. Aki has received much more pain than all of us combined." I heard the twins, Honey, Tamaki, and Haruhi sigh.
I walked to the mirror on the wall and rested my forehead against the cool glass, taking in my horrid appearance. My curled hair was now straight and my once brushed-to-the-side bangs swished back into my natural parting identical to Tamaki's. My red blotched face stared back and my violet eyes sparkled with power.
"I am strong," I sighed to myself as I attempted to hype myself up, "they destroyed my body and tore me up inside and out. Yes, I felt weak being strapped to a cold, hard, stone table, not being able to move. But I fought for my life and survived." I almost laughed at how idiotic I looked, hyping myself up in the mirror, but it honestly felt quite good. "He called me weak, a crybaby, a bitch, helpless, and downright a waste of space. But guess what? They were talking about themselves."
Oh boy, that felt good.
I popped my neck, knuckles and back, almost falling against the wall from how much tension washed away. It felt so good to release anger with popping bones. Tension relieving. I sighed and threw my head back, clearing my mind.
"Hmm," my lips twitched into a smirk.
I opened the door with a bang and almost hit the school's gym coach with the heavy wood. I apologised quickly and started walking down the hall, the host club shell-shocked left behind me. Tamaki's footsteps were becoming louder with each step when he took running towards me. He grabbed my shoulder and spun me around.
"Aki. Are you alright?" He asked, leaning down about. His hands ran the sides of my face, patted my hair and then cupped my cheeks. "Really, do you feel okay?"
"Yes," I said grinning, "I feel perfectly fine." I winked
Tamaki slowly smiled and took his hands off my cheeks, and gave me a kiss on my forehead.
"Mori-senpai is right. You have gotten a lot more pain than any of us have, and yet you are able to smile every day anyway. You are stronger than all of us!" He grinned the same way I did.
The bell rang, and students filed out the front gates, sliding into their limos. I noticed my chauffeur standing beside my small black Rolls-Royce near the back.
"Hey, let's go to my cafe. Maybe if it's not too busy we can sing karaoke, it's Friday night after all." I smiled.
"Yay!" Half the host club cheered.
-
"Aki-chan!" Kano, Ai, and Natsu yelled, "we missed you!"
They tackled me into a hug the minute I stepped in the door. I was knocked to the ground, an ache running through my already sore muscles as I groaned. "You're all so much heavier and bigger than me." I heaved out a breath and struggled when all three bodies above me wriggled. I just managed to crawl free.
"You okay?" Takashi asked me with his deep voice.
"I'm alright," I replied, standing up on shaky legs and patting down my alternative school uniform.
Takashi smiled and ruffled my hair, which everyone noticed was back to its original flat state. Kano had a glare in her eye when she saw Takashi ruffle, "you better take care of her or I'll kill you." She muttered.
"Aki. Your hair! Why is it flat again?" Ai asked lifting a few strands of my blonde hair in her hands.
I shrugged my shoulders.
"We have been opening the café every afternoon and our total intake for the week has been over 20 million yen," Kano grinned, handing me the cash reports.
"That's awesome!" I turned to the door and flipped the open sign to closed.
"Hey, Aki-chan? Would you like me to turn on the karaoke machine?" Natsu asked, already walking over to the large black machine.
"Yes please!" I ran into the kitchen, searching for everything that I needed. I pulled open the mini walk-in fridge and pulled out the strawberry shortcake, aloe drinks, iced green tea and other snacks.
I slid out the fridge and closed the door, walking back out the kitchen and into the main room to find all of the hosts already writing down the songs that they wanted to do. I set down all the food and drinks on a nearby table.
"Hey, guys. A customer actually wrote songs for you all. Here." I reached into my skirt pocket and pulled out seven pieces of notebook paper, each labelled with the hosts' names. All the hosts scrambled to the table and picked up the pieces of notebook paper.
"Apparently they said that if they were performed on a promotional video that business would boom even more. Maybe a studio album was promised by the writer. " I said smiling. "I hope it's not too much though," I rubbed the back of my neck with a sheepish grin.
"What about you Aki-chan~?" The twins cooed.
"For me, I apparently have a song called Sakura Kiss."
I ignored the fact that they had their arms around my shoulders. I shrugged them off giving them a playful scowl.
"Well, let's get this started then shall we?" Haruhi smiled delightedly, rubbing her hands together.
I must be sacrificing my ears if she looks that excited to be singing. I truly hope Ranka was wrong about her singing abilities.
