"He's human! You can't be together."

"Jade. I know but.."

"No buts." She cut me off firmly.

"But there's just something about him."
I pressed.

She sighed softly in response
"Fine." She agreed. "I'll look into him.

"Ms. Rachel?"

I turn around to see Adam. The Head Angel and his brothers Gabriel and Michael. I froze.

"Yes?"

"We have reason to believe that you've gotten quite close to you assignment."
I gulped. They knew.
Adam sighed and shook his head.

"I expected more from you. Such high hopes." He tsked.

"We need you to come with us."
Michael spoke. I nodded.

"This way." Gabriel spoke kindly.

He placed a hand on the small of my back leading me away from the others.

"Wait!" A voice called out.

"Wait! "

We turn to see Jade running towards us. Almost tripping on her long white dress.

"Yes Ms. Jade?" Adam spoke.

"It's not her fault." She told him desperately.

Adam rose a brow.

"What do you mean"

It then hit me what she way doing. She was taking the blame for me. My eyes widened as I shook my head at her. She over at me. Sadness was clear in her hazel eyes.

"I'm the one who looked into the boy. I'm the one who's interested." She was lying through her teeth.

Adam looked at her in shame and told Gabriel to let me go. Once I was free I ran and embraced her tightly.

"What are you doing?" I whispered harshly.

"I can't let you be cast out. You're so close to accomplishing your dreams."

She told me softly. Tear we're burning my eyes.

"No." I spoke firmly.

"You can't do this."

I was begging her not to do this. Begging her to stay and let me face the consequences. She hugged me tightly.

"I'll stay in touch. I promise. Love you Hun. Be safe."

The Arches then took away. Leaving me in tears. She was my best friend and I wouldn't have her anymore. I wiped the tears from my cheeks and walked to where they took her. The area was blocked off but you could still peak through.

The four of them were talking but I was too far away to hear them. I see her nod a bite her lip. Adam then said something to his brothers then to Jade. She then took a deep breath and rolled her shoulders back an her wings spread free. The Arches spoke then the air was filled with the screams of my best friend as she was cast out of heaven.
