3rd Person POV

Jade walked up to Calum the next morning wearing a beanie and a pair of sweat pants.
"Good morning, Calum."
She greeted, elbowing him out of the way playfully.
"Don't be surprised if you don't see me tomorrow morning."
She quickly made her coffee and sat down at a table. Calum glanced back at her confused and shook his head.
"She's something." He mumbled.
Realization hit him after a few seconds and he walked over to her table. "Wait. What do you mean don't be surprised if I don't see you tomorrow?" He asked her concerned.
"I'm leaving." She replied simply. "My lead was a bust. I have to go to Washington and check things out there." She shrugged.
"Who are you looking for?" His eyebrows creased. "And why are you looking for him?"
"A boy named Luke disappeared. The cops have given up. I think I could find him. I've been told I'm pretty good at this stuff."
She took another sip of her coffee.
"Oh. Why the sudden interest tho? If they dropped it why not just let it be?"
"He just dropped off the face of the earth!" Jade exclaimed. "He was here one day then gone the next. Isn't that a little intriguing?" She took in a deep breath. "I just feel like I could find this kid."
"Ya but... I dunno." Calum told her. "What I don't get is why? Like I feel like there's more you're not telling me."
"Could you blame me if I am?" She asked. "We met yesterday because I spilled my coffee all over you. We aren't exactly close friends, Calum." She raised an eyebrow and finished her coffee.
"Just... Why? I still don't get it. Why go through all this trouble?" He shook his head trying to grasp the concept.
She stood up to throw her coffee cup away. "Let's just say I have a lot of time on my hands and I like adventures that could get me I to trouble." She shot him a wink. "That's my cue to go, Hun. It was nice chatting with you. Hopefully I get to see you agin."
With that she sauntered out of the Hotel's Coffee Shop and left Calum to decide some things for himself.

Whoop there it is! Haha LUKE MAKES AN APPEARANCE IN THE NEXT CHAPTER! 😱😱 HUGE SHOUTOUT AGAIN TO MY BFF jetblxckcth FOR THE AMAZEBALLS COVER! Uh I literally have like half of this book written down.
