"What would you like to do first?" I asked her, leaning against the railing.

She hummed in thought and after a moment she spoke. "How about that one where you shoot the water into the clowns mouth?"

I gave a small nod, thinking I could win at that one and let her lead the way, giggling and skipping slightly. The carnie wore a bright green shirt with a checkered bandanna tied around his head, a pair of ray bands covering his eyes.

"Hi there!" He greeted us cheerily. "How many can I set up for you today?"

"Just me." I replied, sliding a few tokens across the counter.

"Alright." He nodded, pushing a few controls. "This is simple. All you have to do is get the water in the clowns mouth until the balloon pops. You ready?"

"Ready." I grinned, directing my gun at the clowns mouth . A timer then started counting down and before I knew it, I was filling up the balloon . Just as the timer was warning I had five seconds left, the balloon popped and Rachel was cheering in the background.

"Congratulations! What can I give you for your prize?" The carnie asked, motioning to the tow of stuffed animals hanging from the tent.

"You pick, beautiful." I told Rachel, pushing her forward by the small of her back. She stepped up shyly and bit her lip in thought. I watched as her eyes scanned each one carefully. Her eyes lit up as she found the one she wanted.

"That one. Please." She smiled at the Carnie and pointed to a medium sized light brown lion with a black nose and a white belly.

"Nice choice." He smiled friendly at her handing over the animal.

"What's his name?"

"Max!" She said proudly. She seemed to zone out a bit after naming the lion but quickly snapped out of it, shaking her head to clear it.

"You ok?" I asked her, putting a hand on her shoulder to steady her.

"Yeah, I'm great." She smiled, hugging Max to her chest. I sighed at how cute she is and grabbed her hand, leading her towards one of the rides.
