I asked to take my NEWTs earlier. I persuaded the teachers to let me take them early as I was having thoughts about school and I knew it wasn't for me. I didn't know what my life would hold for me but I just wasn't becoming a Ministry Worker or a professor or anything that included school. I was done with everything, Umbridge was the last strike.
After I finished the NEWTs, I decided to try once again to turn into my animagus form. I tried and tried. Sirius's voice echoed in my mind. Concentrate, Gianna. All of a sudden I felt lighter. I opened my eyes but they weren't quite mine. I was a Phoenix and I was flying. Now to turn myself back; I also concentrated back to human form. I did it a few more times just to have more control of it. I ran over to the common room passing everyone by. I took some parchment out.
Dear Uncle Remus and Snuffles,
It was a success.
Love, Gianna
I couldn't say anything else. If Umbridge saw the letter she'd throw me in Azkaban. I sent Sienna with it. Suddenly, Fred and George came to me.
"Gianna." They said in unison.
"We've been thinking of leaving." George said.
"I'll join you." I said before they finished.
"What? No!" Fred said.
"Gianna, your parents dislike us already." George said. "We can't afford more!" I shook my head.
"Their disappointment is merely my fault. They just like blaming others and not their perfect little Gryffindor child." I said. "I don't care about school anymore." They looked at each other.
"Gianna, no." They said in unison.
"Your future is bright." George said.
"Don't let us ruin it." Fred finished.
"Shut up. You won't. My future is brighter with you two in it." I said. "You're wonderful and you can't stop me."
"Please." George said.
"No. I'm done with everything!" I said. "Two dozen detentions. Do you see these scars? They won't fade." I showed him my hands. The scars had been so engraved in my skin that they wouldn't go away anymore. They didn't say anything. "Please. I can't take it." George hugged me tightly, I cried a little thinking of everything that was happening at Hogwarts. Fred was at my other side with his head on my shoulder. They nodded. That night was almost unbearable. I had packed everything. All I needed to do was speak to Natalie for now. Fred and George got their revenge, I occasionally helped them. I didn't bother anymore but some of the things were too dangerous for me according to them.
I called Natalie over and told her my plan. She opposed but I really wasn't for hearing her advice right now.
"Your parents will kill you." She said.
"I don't care, Natalie." I said before leaving. "Please take care of Garfunkel, Ziggy and Gaius. I can't take them." She nodded.
"Please don't do anything I wouldn't do, Gianna. That's crazy." She said. "Don't leave me too.." in that moment I realized that I hadn't been there for my best friend at all this year. Not her or the twins, I completely neglected them.
"I have to do this, Natalie." I said, "I'm so incredibly sorry but this what I stand for. This is my revolution. I'm not going to stay and let this proceed. It would be dumb for me to do that."
Fred, George and I took off on the journey to our future. Midway I decided to drop the broom and turn into a Phoenix. They nearly fell off their brooms when they saw.
"Accio, Gianna's broom!" George said before it could hit the ground. "Care to explain?"
"She can't talk, you git!" Fred said. We decided to stop at Diagon Alley. Fred and George unlocked the doors to the building they had bought. They looked at me smiling.
"Move in with us?" Fred asked. I was taken aback. "We'll speak about the Phoenix later."
"Are you sure? I mean, he's my boyfriend and-" I started
"Has it ever stopped us before?" George asked. Fred shook his head. I smiled.
"Okay. Moving in with you." I said. They hugged me. Without a care in the world we proceeded to open the unlocked door of the building that they had bought and entered what would be our future home.
