The Ball

It was already Christmas Day, Natalie and I couldn't control ourselves. We exchanged gifts with all of our friends including the twins. Mrs. Weasley knitted us a jumper with our initial each and sent us homemade fudge. We were so excited for the Yule ball today as well. We spent the whole day preparing ourselves and Ginny. Hermione insisted on preparing herself. I guess she wanted it to be a surprise.

Natalie and I made the finishing touches to our outfits. She wore a bright red strapless gown it was simple but so beautiful, she curled her hair and did her makeup simple. My dress was white with lace (added by Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout) I also curled my hair and my makeup was a little less simple than Natalie's but not too much either. We were meeting the twins (and Neville for Ginny) outside of the common room. Natalie and I felt anxious. As we opened the door they looked at us.

"Wow!" The twins exclaimed in unison.

"You look almost as good as I do!" Fred said to Natalie. We laughed.

"Shut up!" Natalie said punching him.

"The dress looks prettier now than it was before." George said grinning proudly. We intertwined our arms and walked towards the hall. In the hall we saw Pansy with Draco. Her jaw opened when she saw me and George.

"Jealous, much?" I said laughing. I spun around ."Looks better now, doesn't it?"

We continued walking, but sadly I had to leave soon enough because the music students were playing a few covers. As soon as I finished we danced a slow song. We couldn't really make it without laughing. We made funny faces at eachother while everyone was serious.  Afterwards The Weird Sisters played a few fast songs and we danced badly to them. It was a fun night overall. Natalie had a lot of fun, so did we. Pansy looked annoyed all night and Draco as well. Hermione looked gorgeous in her dress. Everyone seemed to be having a great time except Ron and Harry who were miserably sitting in a corner.

"Let's get out of here!" George said. I nodded and we headed out. We went over to a balcony.

"You look beautiful." He said. I blushed

"All thanks to you." I said laughing.

"I mean it, though." He said and leaned in, he kissed me. I blushed once again. The moment I waited for so long had just happened and I was standing there looking like an idiot.

"Damn, George. What was that?" I said and laughed.

"I had been waiting to do that for roughly three years." He said, I smiled.

"We could try it again, really." I said kissing him again. John came looking for us.

"Finally, geez. I've been keeping that secret for so long." He said.

"Same." Natalie appeared with Fred along her. Fred gave her a quick kiss and they kept walking towards us.

"Can't a girl have her privacy here." I said. Fred and George let off fireworks and we all just hung there for a while trying to make that moment last for long, cheesy, I know. But it was too good. Little did we know that wasn't going to last for too long.
