The Interview

The next day was Annas interview. Nathan let her know as soon as he knew. She was getting prepared and extra professional since its more high end than her old job. She was extremely nervous as well, even though she is meeting Nathans brother, he might not be as nice as Nathan... CEOs arent always the nicest people. But she maybe wrong.

When she arrived at the huge modern styled building, she went up to the man at the front desk. "How may i help you?" He asked looking at Anna.

"I have an interview with Mr. Downey..." She said nervously. The man nodded and typed some things in the computer.

"Okay, if you take those elevators over there, go all the way up to the top floor of the building, that is his office." The man explains, motioning to a corner of the huge lobby. Anna looks over and then looks back after seeing where she needed to go.

"Thank you!" She said smiling and walking towards the elevators. She rode to the very top floor, when the elevator doors opened, it was a big, open area. There was a huge desk on the opposite side from the elevator. Three comfortable looking black leather chairs in front of it, a good sized couch the same color and material as the chairs over to the far left. The whole room was lit by the sunlight coming through the ceiling to floor windows. She was admiring the scenery so much she didnt even realize the man sitting at the desk. He had to clear his throat to get her attention. Of course he didnt mind that she was distracted for a minute, he was admiring her beauty during that time. He could see why Nathan had an interest in her. Anna snapped her head in Roberts direction and blushed of embarrassment. "Im sorry. Hello, my name is Anna Kent." Anna says, walking towards Robert, holding her hand out for him to shake.

"Nice to meet you Miss Kent, im Mr. Downey. You can have a seat and we will get started." Robert said. Anna nodded and sat down, ready for any questions he has to ask her. While he was looking over a sheet of paper, she decided to really take a look at him. He looked like a slightly older version of Nathan, the resemblance is amazing! Anna couldnt decide which brother was more handsome. Nathan was clean shaven with that spiky hair he had, but Robert had a good amount of stubble and his hair was cleanly parted to the left. Plus, when Robert was reading something, he would put on a pair of glasses that added to his look, having just that touch of nerdy. She didnt know either of their ages, but they both looked around mid-thirties in their own different ways. She snapped out of her comparison when Robert started speaking. "So you were at your old job for just over five years, correct?" He asked.

"Yes." Anna nodded.

"And the only flaw was that you were late three times?" He asked and Anna nodded. "Okay... So tell me about your work ethic..."

"Im very consistent usually, i do all the work you will give me and finish it by the time its due, and im very focused and will stay overtime to finish whatever i need to." Anna explains. Robert nods, thinking. He puts down the paper he was reading and looks Anna in the eyes, holding out his hand while smiling.

"Anna its safe to say you got the job." Robert says, Annas eyes widen, she thought the interview would be longer and she'd have to wait to know if she was accepted or not. She shook his hand firmly while smiling widely.

"Thank you so much sir! I wont let you down, i promise!"

"Im sure you wont. You will start next week and ill have a desk prepared in here for you by then. But for now since im not busy for once, ill give you the tour and let you meet some of the people youll be seeing..." Robert says standing up. Anna furrowed her brows at him. "Something wrong?" Robert asked, seeing Annas expression.

"I thought my desk would be somewhere else..." She said.

"Well i need you near me often and my office is its own floor, so you will be in here with me... Is that a problem?" He asked and Anna furiously shook her head.
