First Day

Soon enough it was already the following Monday, and Anna was getting ready for her new job. She was about five minutes early, with two coffees in hand and heading up to the top floor. Once the elevator dinged, Robert looked up from his computer to see his new employee, and surprised to see she brought him a coffee. "I hope you like Starbucks, its black but i brought some sugar packets and creamers in case you use those..." Anna said, setting the drink onto his desk.

"Thank you, i dont remember telling you that you had to get me a coffee..."

"Im sorry, if you dont want me to i wont anymore..." Anna says nervously, thinking she already made a mistake until she saw Robert smile.

"Its okay, i just dont want you spending your money on a coffee for me everyday..."

"Well, its not that much so it wont be a bother."

"Well im going to give you a credit card just for the coffees every morning so you dont waste your money.."

"Okay. What would you like me to do?"

"For today, just some filing, copying, and organizing your desk space. At around 12:30, we will go out to lunch, unless you want to go alone, and you have a 15 minute break whenever you want to take it, then we leave at 4:30. Or at least you do..." Robert explains.

"Okay, and i would love to go to lunch with you..." Anna blushes slightly and Robert smiles.

Lunch time came around, the morning was very quiet between the two. They both go into Roberts car, an Audi R8, and headed to a little diner called Bubbles. "I hope you like diners, this place has the best breakfast and afterwards we could get ice cream, they make their own." Robert explains as they walk into the little diner. They choose a seat by a window. They order their food and decide to make small talk. "Would you like to have dinner with me and my brother sometime?" Robert asks, his voice a little shaky from his nerves. Anna smiles and nods.

"I would love to. Just tell me when and where." Anna feels butterflies in her stomach at the thought of eating dinner with two very handsome men. They get their food and start eating, Annas thoughts get to be too much and she asks the question she never wouldve thought of asking her boss. "How come you arent married?" As soon as she asks that, she covers her mouth in embarrassment. "Im so sorry i didnt mean to ask that.. I dont kn-" Robert cut her off.

"Its alright, and im not married because im too busy to have time for a relationship..." Robert explains, his tone saddening a bit.

"Im sorry... That was inappropriate for me to say..."

"Why do you ask?" Robert asks. Anna feels nervous this time, not wanting to tell her boss how good looking she thinks he is, but knows there isnt a different answer she can come up with.

"Because... you are extremely handsome..." She says, blushing madly after. Robert feels his heart swell after hearing her say that.

"Thank you..." They finish their lunch and continue on with their work.

4:30 comes around and Robert is packing up his things. He looks over at Anna who is still filing. He continues to pack up and put on his jacket. "Are you coming?" He asks Anna, snapping her out of her 'work mode'.

"Oh, yeah ill be done after i file these last invoices..." She says as she holds up a thick stack of papers. Robert walks over to her and grabs the stack from her hands. Their hands lightly brushing, sending electric sparks through both of their bodies. He puts the stack down and hands her her coat.

"You are leaving right now, you shouldnt be working overtime on your first day..." Robert commands. Anna grabs the coat from him and starts packing up herself. As they both walk onto the elevator, Anna starts protesting.

"It really wouldnt have been trouble to finish tho-" Robert cuts her off.

"It isnt trouble to put them off until the next day either..." Anna huffs and gives up, knowing she wont win this argument. Robert smirks, knowing he won. They both reach the parking lot and head to their cars. "Have a nice night, Anna.." Robert says, opening his Audi door.

"Goodnight Robert." Anna says, and they both drive to their separate homes.
