The boss and assistant have been in Texas for a couple days, mainly attending meetings so far. Today is their second to last day, and they happen to have it free from any appointments.

"Since we haven't explored the state yet, do you want to today?" Robert asked as they both ate the breakfast room service brought a couple minutes ago. Eggs, bacon, and toast half eaten on both plates.

"Sure, I was hoping we could before we left so today is the perfect day!" Anna said with a smile.

"Yeah, finally a day where we can be in comfortable clothing!" Robert exclaimed, making Anna laugh.

A little while later, both are dressed and ready for their day of exploring. Robert was wearing dark red sweatpants, red and white high tops, a white t-shirt under a pink collared shirt, and a grey hat with sunglasses. Anna was wearing dark wash skinny jeans, blue converse, and a white tank top under a light blue collared shirt with sunglasses as well. "Ready to go?"

"Yup." Anna replied. They both walked out and started walking down the street.

"I heard from a couple people that there is a fair going on around here, would that interest you at all?" Robert asked.

"Absolutely! I haven't been to a fair since i was in my twenties!" Anna exclaimed. Robert couldn't help but smile at her excitement.

"Great, I'll find someone to ask where it is."

After a ten minute walk, they found the fair. Luckily for them, the line wasn't that long yet, so they got in fairly quickly. "You like rides or games more?" Anna asked.

"Rides. I'm a thrill seeker. But i like both." Anna nods.

"Me too." They walk a little bit, looking around. Anna spots bumper cars and grabs Roberts arm quickly while gasping.

"What?! Is something wrong?" Robert asked, concerned on why she gasped.

"BUMPER CARS!!!!!" She yelled excitedly, pointing towards the bumper cars. Robert sighed in relief while chuckling.

"I thought something was wrong..." Robert said as Anna dragged him to the bumper cars. There was only a couple people in line, so they got in right away. Anna jumped into a green bumper car, Robert got in a blue one. They both made the 'im watching you' signal like its a competition. "You're going down!" Robert exclaimed.

"Oh i dont think so, mister!" After that, the cars started and they headed right for each other, bouncing back really far after making contact, both laughing. It went on like that for the rest of the time, both still smiling and laughing when they got out. "Bumper cars used to always be my favorite!" Anna said.

"I haven't been on bumper cars since i was a teenager. It was a nice blast from the past." They walked a little bit until Robert spotted balloon pop. "You like throwing darts at balloons?" Robert asked.

"I'm always up for throwing darts." They went over and Robert payed for both of them. "Hey you dont have to pay for me. You already pay me when i work for you!" Anna disapproved.

"If i want to pay for a pretty lady to play a game i will." Anna blushed at his complement.

"You, sir, are stubborn!" She said, taking her darts while he takes his. They both pop five balloons and win a stuffed dog.

"It weird, i've never won a prize for a woman before..." Robert said.

"Hey, i helped win it!" Anna said, slightly pushing him while they both chuckle.

They spend another hour at the fair then decide to get real food to eat for lunch. "Are you Irish at all?" Robert asked.

"In fact, i have about 45ish percentage of Irish in me. And 100 percentage of Irish pride."

"Well good, because i've heard some people talk about this really good Irish restaurant around here called O'Briens. I was thinking it would be nice to have lunch there."

"I love that idea!"

They arrived at O'Briens and sat at a table near a window. "I hope their Ruben is good...." Robert says, more to himself than anything.

"Ooo! They have Shepherds Pie!" Anna exclaims, really excited now. The waiter comes and they get their orders in while making small talk, waiting for their food.

"Best Ruben i have ever had." Robert said as they are walking again.

"Its been awhile since i have had Shepherds Pie so that was also amazing."

"Thats good. I didn't want their food to be bad when i recommended us to go..."

"Hey, theres a park over there. Wanna go sit for a little bit?" Anna asked.

"Sure. Lets go find a place looking out at the pond." They walk until they find an empty bench looking out at the pond. It was pretty quiet and where they sat, it was kind of secluded so they had privacy.

"This is really nice. It has been a really good and stress free day. Thanks Robert."

"Dont thank me, you deserved it. You work hard and i appreciate your hard work for me..." Robert says looking deeply into Annas eyes while lightly grabbing her hand in his. Anna looked down at their hands and furrowed her brows, but decided not to say anything.

"Isn't this... uh... weird to you?" Anna suddenly asked, breaking Roberts focus on her and making his eyebrows furrow.

"Whats weird?"

"Spending a day with your secretary, now holding her hand so nonchalantly..."

"I dont find it weird at all. I find it fun, nice, and... well, a little risky too..." Robert finally breaks eye contact, and lets go of her hand.

"Risky?"

"Well... yeah. You are dating my brother so..."

"Oh... right."

"Did you forget?" Robert asked, surprised.

"Well, i just haven't thought of him much these past days for some reason... I dont like that."

"I do." Robert suddenly says, making Annas eyes widen.

"W-what? Why?" Anna stutters.

"I'm selfish..." Robert barely whispered.

"How are you selfish?" Anna asked, confused. Robert finally looked back into her eyes, and also held her hand again.

"Remember the other day when i whispered in your ear? I dont like that my brother is dating you... I'm afraid he is going to hurt you..."

"But thats not all... Is it?" Robert sighed, hesitating to say more.

"Anna... I would never play a woman. My brother has played so many women, i just dont trust him with such a sweet lady like you, who deserves more than anything this world can give you..." Anna slowly pulled her hand away.

"R-robert... I dont know if you are thinking straight right now... Do you even know what you are saying right now?"

"Of course i do Anna! Its the hardest thing a man can say straight forward, but i am very well aware i am saying all of this. I dont hate my brother, but i do hate how he treats women-"

"Thats the past, Robert! You said it yourself, Nathan has changed! He may have treated women like that in the past but he doesn't anymore and thats what matters!" Anna interrupted, getting defensive making Robert be quiet. "I-I think i should go..." Anna said softly, before turning and speed-walking away. Robert just sat there, speechless and heart shattered.

"She-she loves him...." Robert whispered, a single tear streaming down his cheek.
