Dinner With The Brothers

A couple days after Anna started working for Robert, the brothers and her set up a day for dinner. Today was Thursday and the night of the dinner. Anna and Robert were working on paperwork like a regular day, nothing exciting going on. "Are you excited for dinner tonight?" Roberts deep voice broke the silence of flipping papers.

"I am. Do you know where we are going?" Anna asked.

"I believe Nathan established we will be going to P.F. Changs."

"Sounds good." Anna smiles and continues her work.

"Oh... ive also been meaning to ask you if youd like to visit Texas for five days with me. I have to go for some conferences and i think it would be good experience for you if you came with me." Robert explained. Anna couldnt believe her ears when he said that.

"A-are you sure, Mr. Downey?" She asks, shocked he asked her such a thing with the little time she spent working for him. "I mean... ive only been here four days and you are asking me something huge and-" Robert cut her off.

"If you dont want to, i understand. I know you just started working here but i thought itd be nice for you to get some experience other than just doing some filing and copying..." Robert explained. Anna smiled and thought for a moment.

"Okay, then id love to go to Texas, thank you for the opportunity..."

"We will discuss the details later." He paused, packing his briefcase. "I need to sit in a meeting quick, ill be back in about an hour or so. Do you have enough work to do while im gone?" Anna checked her stacks of papers.

"Yes, i have plenty of work to do, Mr. Downey. Have a nice meeting." Anna smiles at him. Robert returns the smile, gives a little head nod and walks out.

Later that evening, Robert and Nathan were chatting on Roberts porch, waiting for Annas arrival so they can go out to eat. "You are already going to bring her to Texas!?" Nathan exclaims, surprised at how quickly his brother trusted Anna.

"Of course, it was either that or go with Jerry. But Jerry isnt fun to be around and hes kinda stupid. So i thought Anna should go and get some experience out of it. It wont do any harm." Nathan nods slowly.

"Well thats very kind of you, Rob..." As Nathan finishes that sentence, the brothers see Annas car pulling into the driveway. She parks and gets out of the car. Both brothers admire her in awe. She changed from a blue blouse with black dress pants to an elegant red dress that flows all the way down to her feet. She also curled her hair.

"Are you two okay?" She asks them, noticing they arent on earth. They both slightly shook their heads and smiled.

"Anna, you look beautiful..." Robert says.

"Beautiful doesnt even cut it... The right word would be stunning..." Nathan disagrees. Robert glares at his brother for a second then turns his gaze back to Anna.

"Thank you..." She blushes. "You both look very handsome..." She responds. Looking at both the brothers carefully. Nathan was wearing a crisp white dress shirt with a navy blue tie and navy blue dress pants with pin stripes. Robert was also wearing a crisp white dress shirt, but with a brown tie instead of navy blue and wearing a lighter blue jacket and pants.

"Lets go before we lose our reservation..." Robert says after a moment. They all walk to Roberts garage where they get in a grey Audi A4.

They get seated at a table near a window and order their drinks. Nathan was next to Anna and Robert was across from both of them. "I think ill get the ginger chicken with broccoli..." Nathan ponders.

"Im going to get the wok-fired filet mignon..." Robert says. "How about you, Anna?"

"The kung pao shrimp looks good..." She replies.

"You must like spice then, huh?" Nathan asks. Anna blushes and nods slightly.

They get their food and enjoy their meals making small talk. "Wait... So your last boyfriend left you for your cousin!?" Nathan asked. All of them opening up from the wine.

"Yeah! He was an absolute bastard! Im glad hes gone... Plus he wasnt near as good looking as you..." As soon as she realized she said that, her eyes widened and she put her hand over her mouth. Nathan just couldnt help the smile on his face while Robert faked smiled, trying to be happy for his brother.

"You think im good looking?" Nathan asked. Anna sighed.

"Of course i do... Who wouldnt?" She confessed. Robert stood up.

"Pardon me... I need to use the restroom..." Robert leaves the table, not wanting to see them flirt with each other. He didnt want to cause a scene in a restaurant. Nathan and Anna look at each other with furrowed brows.

"That was sudden..." Anna pointed out.

"Yeah... Hes always full of surprises..." Nathan dismisses Roberts weird behavior. Nathan knew Robert didnt use public restrooms anywhere.

They arrive back at Roberts house. "Well... I should go hit the hay. Anna, i will see you tomorrow and you both have a good night..." Robert excuses himself and walks in his house.

"Is this normal for him?" Anna asks. "He seems... Off."

"I assure you, he is fine." Nathan pauses for a second, gazing into Annas eyes. "Anna... I really like you, and i think you are so beautiful..." He steps closer to her. She looks back in his eyes, seeing the passion in them.

"I-i really like you too, Nathan...." She nervously says as he gets closer to her. What the pair doesnt know is that Robert is seeing everything that is going on, trying to control his anger.

"Well, since i got reassurance then-" Nathan started, then went right in for her lips. Anna was surprised at first, then kisses back. Nathan rests his hands on her hips as Anna snakes hers around the back of his neck, slightly pulling the bottom of his hair. Nathan let out an almost unrecognizable moan as she does so. After a little while, they pull away, breathless. "Wow..."

"Yeah..." She says breathless. "I should go home before it gets too late..." Anna explains, suddenly nervous.

"Alright... Here." Nathan hands her his phone. She looks at him confused. "Put your number in." She realizes and punches in her number, and gives the device back to him. "Ill text you when we should see each other again..."

"Okay..."

"Goodnight, Anna." Nathan whispers, leaning in and kissing her cheek, making her blush madly.

"Goodnight..." She says, slowly walking to her car and heading back home. As she pulls out of sight, Nathan decides to talk to his brother. He walks in the house.

"Robert! I know you arent sleeping!" He walks around, looking for his brother.

"What do you want!?" Robert says agitated.

"What the hell was with you? I thought you said you werent going to fight for her!?" Nathan exclaims.

"Im not going to fight for her! But i never said that i wouldnt get angry if i see you be all romantic and charming with her!"

"Well if you are gonna get angry then dont go anywhere with both me and Anna from now on..."

"Yeah i know... You won her heart with your charm instantly. You have that effect on women Nate... I dont. Now could you please see yourself out? I dont want to talk about something that will stress me out..." Nathan sighs, defeated. He nods slightly and leaves his brother to himself.
