"Mère?"
"Where are you?"
"Are you there?"
Kinusot ko ang aking mga mata. I wandered around the kingdom looking for Mère. She was nowhere to be seen. Ugh!
Nag-init ang gilid ng mga mata ko. I wanted to cry my heart out.
I don't know what to do if Mère suddenly disappeared. That's just too much to handle! She is my only ally here.
"Hey, chéri. Bakit ka umiiyak?"
My face brightened up as I heard the voice. Sobrang maamo at sweet. Tumingala ako at agarang nagpunas ng butil ng luha gamit ang mga kamay.
"I thought you're gone!"
Napatakbo at napayakap ako sa kanya. Doon, ako ay napahagulgol.
"I will always be here for you, my dear daughter. After all, I am your mother."
Inabot ni Mère sa akin ang isang napakalinis na puting panyo. Tinitigan ko ito, tila nanghihinayang kung gagamitin ko ito o hindi.
Noong hindi ko ginawa, kinuha niya sa'kin ang panyo at siya mismo ang nagtuyo ng luha na bakas pa rin sa aking mga mata at pisngi.
"Diamonds don't cry, chéri." Paalala niya.
"P-pangako po, h-hindi na ako iiyak."
Basta kasama ko palagi siya...
"Bien."

"Tss. What's wrong with Père?"
I stomped my feet in irritation.
He is always scolding me. Duh! Like forever. I think it's his hobby. Jeez.
"There's nothing wrong with him." Mère said calmly.
How could she be like that? Isn't she bothered by Père's whereabouts?
"I wish, Père is not my father. He's the reason why Mama died."
Her eyes widened and she stopped brushing my hair. I could see her facial expression by just looking at this huge mirror in front of us.
"Don't be like that, chéri! Ama mo pa rin siya kahit pagbali-baligtarin ang mundo. About Mama... How did you know that?"
I like to laugh right now seeing Mère's holes in the nose. Gosh! It is very unladylike to see.
Though, I stopped myself from doing it 'cause I know she's serious to the point that it reached the freakin' HELL.
