*January 24th*
[January is seen in his room, looking at the ceiling from his bed. A knock on the window is heard, and January looks to see February at his window.]
February: Open up!
[She continues knocking on the window until January stands and walks over to it, opening the window.]
January: It's too early for this, what do you want?
February: It's National Compliment Day!
January: National what?
February: National Compliment Day! You have to compliment people!
January: I'll pass.
[January closes the window, and February bangs on the window desperately,]
February: Why don't you like National Compliment Day? It's such a fun holiday! You get to express your love for others!
January: I don't have love for others.
[January closes his curtains and leaves his room, going into the hallway and into the kitchen. He is greeted by the human who is living with him.]
Claire: Hey, Jan!
January: Hey. You already make breakfast?
Claire: I had some toast.
[There's a knock on the door.]
January: Oh, I-
Claire: Don't worry, I'll get it.
[Before January can intercept, Claire opens the door to February.]
February: Hi Claire! I like your eyes!
Claire: Huh?
February: It's National Compliment Day!
Claire: Oh! Then, I like your... eyes too!
February: Aw, thank you! Is January in there?
Claire: Yeah, he's right over there.
[January facepalms as February walks over to him.]
February: Hi, January!
[February expectantly looks at him.]
January: What?
February: Compliment me!
January: Why would I do that?
February: It. Is-
January: Yeah, yeah, National Compliment Day. Now, go away.
[February sits on a couch, pouting.]
Claire: So... what are you guys going to do today?
February: I'm going to go on a complimenting spree.
Claire: Oh... how nice. Jan, what are you going to do?
January: I have some issues of which I have to take care as the current month, so I'll be away.
February: That sounds exciting! Can I come?
January: No.
Claire: Well, I'm going to go shopping for groceries. Lock the door when you leave, Jan.
January: Mhm.
[Claire leaves, and eventually January and February leave.]
[January enters the diner, and February stays behind him, hiding behind random objects on the street. She watches him through the window, as March stands beside February.]
