Lily had no idea where she was going.
An empty classroom would be bloody brilliant.
She stormed through the halls, eyes roving up and down corridors, ranting silently to herself.
Bloody Marlene...!
What she hated was how logical the solution was, but at the same time, the idea repulsed her.
She yanked open a door and strode into a classroom, every step stiff and forceful like the floor had killed her mother. Lily fell against a desk and closed her eyes.
The Problem:
If I don't get along with James, I will lose my Head Girl Badge
However, that boy wouldn't know cooperation if it bit him on the nose.
But...
He had been asking Lily out for the past six years. And if they were in a relationship--however faked--he would want to maintain that as long as possible. It would be the ultimate victory for the boy--to finally "catch" the bird he'd been after for so long.
But she hated him.
It would be fake. 100%
Besides, Lily was convinced that he didn't even like her. He just liked the chase.
She felt her resolve wavering.
"Fine!" she snapped. "Bloody Marlene!"
