Meeting the Band

"Seth, my man." A familiar voice said.

"Is that who I think it is?" Amber asked exactly.

Seth nodded.

"It's John!" Jen smiled.

"Did I hear someone say my name?" John asked.

Seth stepped in the house along with the blonde girl.

She couldn't believe that John, Korey and Jen were here. Man she was happy. "Hey, guys! I'm like your biggest fan!"

"We get that a lot. What's your name?" Korey asked.

"I'm Amber," her smile beamed.

"Nice to meet you." John said.

"Cool name." Jen said.

"Seth, why did you come find me?" Amber asked.

"Well, I go on daily walks and I happen to see you crying."

"It looks like you ran away from home." Korey said cut in, noticing her bag.

"Yes, I am. My house isn't a good place and I have nowhere to go." Amber sighed.

"You can stay here." John suggested.

"Awesome!"

"Not to be rude or anything. Why are you running away?" Korey asked.

"My parents hate me, and I cut myself, I had to get out." She said as she teared up.

"You should here a song." John said.

"You're going to play me a song?"

"Yup, okay everyone get your interments out we're gonna play The Last Night!" John said with a smile.

Korey got her keyboard, Seth got his guitar and Jen got on the drums.

"You come to me with scars on your wrist

You tell me this will be the last night feeling like this". John sang.

"I just came to say goodbye

The song went on and on it made Amber tear up, but it helped her feel a bit better, she sang alone with them. The band heard her beautiful voice.

Once the song ended John thought of something. "Do you like to sing?"

"Yes, why?" She asked.

"Well we are making a new album called Rise and I thought you might want to help out."

"You want me to sing?! But I can't I'm not in your band." Amber said.

"Well just for some parts," John said.

"Yeah, but why do you need me?"

"Well I thought it would be different; having a fan sing on the new record." John said.

"Really?! That's so awesome! Thank you guys!" Her smile grew big.

Her smile made everybody smile. "I can play every Skillet too!"

"Really?" Korey said in shock.

"Yeah, I have a music book, and I play all the time and I know them by heart." Amber still had that big grin on her face.

"That's great!" John smiled. "Now sing to us!"

Without hesitation or feeling nervous she sang her heart out. "This is the last night you'll spend alone look me in the eyes so I know you know I'm everywhere you want me to be. The band was shocked of how beautiful her voice was.

"I like your voice." Korey said.

"Thanks." Amber smiled.

"She can sing with me!" Jen said with a smile.

"I'll send Scotty a text to let him know we have a fan singing on the new record." John said as he had his phone in his hand.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe this is real!"

"We will start playing tomorrow." John said.

"I can't wait!"

"You'll have fun jamming with us," Seth said.

"I'm Sure I will!"

"Kor and I should be getting home." John said.

"I thought you guys came over to play the new record." Seth said.

"Yeah well, we need some time alone," Korey added.

"Thanks for coming." Seth said.

John and Korey said their goodbyes and left.

"It was nice meeting you, Amber. I will see you soon. Bye," Jen said as she left out the door.

"I'm going to make dinner. " Seth said.

"Okay, need any help?" Amber asked.

"No, you can relax and watch some TV." Seth suggested.

The blonde sat down on the couch and watched some TV. She couldn't get over how she's going to sing in the band and she's living with Seth. What can get better than this?
