"Let's try this one first." Maka pointed at the roller coaster. Kid wouldn't find it very exciting though but he wanted to escort Maka.
"Okay, if you say so." He said buntly.
Kid has been wearing the cap and glasses. It sure did hid him from people's sight.
Others can't even tell who he is now.
Kid and Maka took the first row and he sat next to her. They put the seat belts on and silently waited for it to move.
The roller coaster started slowly and Maka began smiling.
Kid kept his gaze at Maka.
'She looks so happy.' He thought to himself.
He has never seen Maka without Soul. Ever. And to see Maka smiling like this beside him makes Kid's stomach weird.
He looked at her ash blonde hair dancing through the air, she screamed in joy as the coaster started going up.
He smiled. Infected by her happiness.
Maka held the belt harder like she's going to fall.
Kid switched his stare from her hair to her eyes. Those emerald eyes.
He adored how beautiful they are. Without even looking at her lips, he already knew how happy she is just by looking through her eyes.
Kid was feeling a bit weird and he didn't know exactly why. He closed his eyes and tried not to think about it.
Maka noticed that kid wasn't reacting too much and felt like he was a bit bored. Maka frowned
"You're not enjoying?"
"No, I am. I just feel a bit weird" Kid replied without looking at Maka.
The roller coaster began to go slow, making it easier for them to talk.
"You feel sick? Do you wanna go back after this?" Maka worriedly asked the Meister
"Nah, I don't feel that sick. I just feel something I don't understand." Kid held his chest
"What's happening? Are you okay?" Maka got so confused and started to sound worried.
"I'm fine Maka." He Smiled not wanting to worry her too much and spoil her fun.
"If.. You say so." She murmured to herself.

The ride ended and both meisters took off. Leaving them with silence.
Maka was confused. It sure is very hard to hang out with Kid. He's like a puzzle. Very hard to comprehend and difficult to solve.
She was getting out of place and her mood's going down. Presuming Kid didn't want to hang out with her.
She sighed at her intuition.

Kid noticed Maka's behavior. For once, He actually didn't know what to do. He wanted to run. The feeling was alien for him. But at the same time he doesn't want to leave Maka alone.
"Is there something wrong kid? You can tell me if you really don't want to be with me." He noticed her discouraged eyes.
He feel like he's a huge garbage, if Patty and Liz could've been here, they would probably beat him up for upsetting a girl.
On the other hand, Maka was a bit hurt. She felt like she wanted to cry, she wanted to be with soul right now and tell him how she feels. She could run to him for help.
"No Maka. Actually I really like your company. I am enjoying." He said
"Then why do you look sad" she asked the reaper
"It's nothing Maka, I swear." He said sternly.
Maka looked at him with gloomy eyes.
"Then what should we do next?"
"Hmmm.. What about the Ferris wheel? It sure looks symmetrical." He said cheerfully. Maka decided to follow Kid although she felt like she was just bothering him. She thought Kid was acting weird. His moods change instantly and it's making her irritated.

Soon after falling in a long line, They finally both got their seats inside the Ferris wheel. Their block was quite small. There were 2 seats opposite to each other and kid sat the right side while Maka took the opposite. Maka peeped at the window and she let out a gasp, the sun was beginning to set making the view even more beautiful, she could see the carnival Lord Death had set for her and soul. The Ferris wheel began to go up and a song started playing inside their block which made Kid a bit surprised that there's a stereo inside.
Maka thought that it sets
the mood. It was pretty romantic.

(a/n song starts - Jinx by DNCE)

Feels like I'm in a cartoon
Love struck, shot with a harpoon
Flying high as a balloon
And I ain't coming down

Amazed at the view, Maka admired what she's seeing. Kid did the same. He could see the students gathering and falling in line for the rides. The noise was inaudible inside the block he and Maka was riding. And the music was keeping their moods up. The DMWA can be seen behind the carnival, he smiled at its symmetry. The sun was starting to set and trying its best to be awake. It was a lovely afternoon.
He looked at Maka again who is busy looking at the view, delighted to see her smile until the pain in his chest came again. He held it with his fist and gripped his jacket.

Got no, no chill around you
But I'm trying, trying to play cool
Don't want to rush it on too soon
I'm keeping you around

He stopped when Maka was done looking through the window.
"Isn't it beautiful?" She asked him and kid thought that her eyes looked beautiful with the sunset. Those emerald eyes were like sparkling and it sure was a pretty setting. But the person in front him was far greater than the beautiful view she's seeing.

Superstitiously, I'm watching my words
All of my words
Now
Like a birthday wish
Don't say it out loud
Never out loud

"It is beautiful." He said half whispering while looking at her eyes.
Maka slightly blushed, Kid was looking at her while he said those words like he meant it for her. She stared at his Golden eyes. It was soft and tender, yet so confused. She wanted to touch him. To tell her what he's thinking. She wants to know everything that's on his mind right now.
Kid didn't flinch and stayed where he was looking at.
Her eyes.
They were telling him something. To tell her what he wants. And what kid wants is to touch her. Embrace her. Do things that he does when he adores something.

Yeah I want to tell everyone
That you are, you are my only one
Screaming at the top of my lungs
But I'm whispering, I'm whispering, I'm whispering
'Cause I don't wanna jinx it

Both of them were silent, enjoying the scene. As they both look through each other's eyes.
None of them said any words. Just appreciating each other's company while listening to the music being played.

Hoping you will stay
Fingers cross when I kiss you
Knocking wood when I miss you
Acting like a teenage fool when you are with me

Maka examined his face. He has grown quite a bit. He has a slightly pointed chin and a strong jaw line. His golden eyes were big and spaced evenly apart, sitting below his perfect thick eyebrows that seemed to curve as a natural extension of broad, tall yet rounded nose. His pursed lips were full and painted naturally. His face held forward in a steady gaze.
Showing no signs of imperfection. He is charming and it gave her butterflies in her small belly.

Superstitiously
Like a birthday dream
Don't say it out loud

He kept his mouth closed in a thin straight line, and his hair, has a natural white 3 stripes on the other side. Making him perfectly asymmetrical. The jacket he wore today had neatly polished buttons. Maka noticed that he was wearing his Spartoi uniform. It came to her thoughts that they wore the same uniform accidentally.

Yeah I want to tell everyone
That you are, you are my only one
Screaming at the top of my lungs

Kid silently studied her face,
She has a small baby face and  chubby chicks, her emerald eyes were big, sparkling and separated equally. She has small rounded nose, identical to her father, spirit. Her lips looked thin and were naturally pink. They looked very soft and wet.
Her hair were in its usual pigtails and were done symmetrically. Her bangs were messy but in a good way. She was perfect in his eyes. Effortlessly beautiful. He never thought of her this way, since he never had time like this with Maka. He wanted to tell her how beautiful she looked today but he couldn't find the words. He bet no one has ever said it to her yet. She doesn't know how beautiful she is. So clueless.

But I'm whispering, I'm whispering, I'm whispering
'Cause I don't wanna jinx it
