I'm at a payphone
Trying to call home
All of my change
I've spent on you
Where has the time gone
Baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans
We made for two
Reaching over I turned the volume of alarm up to the highest and hopped out of bed, grabbed my towel and skipped to the shower.
The first day of school. Why can't someone shoot me now?! Every year I put on fake glasses and every year someone brakes them in my face. I can't wait to get to college and put high school behind me.
After a quick shower, I go back to my room and put on my cloths. A pair of black skinny jeans, a blue button down tucked into my pants, and black and white converses. I only put on light make up because I never really liked the stuff.
"Nemesis! You are going to be late, hurry up!" Alan screamed up the steps.
"Yeah, Yeah. Coming Alan!" I yelled running down the steps. I spin into the kitchen and grab the money on the counter for me.
"Remember Nemesis, no talking back to teachers, no slacking and most importantly no- "
"Fights, I got it Alan. Now if I don't go I'm going to miss the bus."
"Goodbye, I love you!" I heard Alan scream before I left t put the door.
"Love you too!"
I slung my bag over my shoulder and stepped onto the bus. I didn't need to take more than one step before I found a seat. Taking the first seat, I placed my bookbag next to me so it looked like I had no room. I don't really like people, so I sit by myself and don't talk to anyone unless I have to. I only have my one best friend, and she doesn't ride my bus.
We were almost through the route, and we approached the last stop. The driver opened the door and all the kids got on, just as we were about to pull away the driver stopped again. The doors opened and on walked Aiden Windwood, the school bad boy and guess where he sits? It just so happens I'm the last person with an empty seat.
Keeping my head down, I slid all the way to the window. I placed my pack in the middle of us so we wouldn't accidentally touch. Aiden does some street fights, and I've watched before, but he has never been to the most dangerous side. I've seen him at a couple of my uptown fights, but he has never really figured out who I am and I intend to keep it that way.
I could feel him looking at me, but he never said anything. We were both quiet the rest of the way to school, nothing was said and I was grateful.
As soon as I step off the bus my best friend, Kalya, runs over to me. She grabs me by the arm and pulls me aside, finally out of ear shot of everyone we stop running.
"Dude? What's going on?" I asked, raising a questioning eyebrow at her.
"So you haven't heard yet?! Great! Now Nemesis, I need you to listen and before I finish you cannot leave to try and kill her." I just nodded, but that's not the answer Kayla wanted. "Promise me?"
"If I must, then fine I promise. Now spill."
Kayla takes a deep breathe before looking me in the eyes, "Umm... well you see, Brittney," the school slut I might add I thought to myself, " She umm... well you see she. .."
"Kayla, out with it."
"She destroyed your bike in auto body. You know the one you started last year? She kinda took it apart so that you have nothing but the frame standing up, and that falls sometimes." She looked at the ground hoping to avoid my eyes, she knew they turned a darker green when I got angry and boy was I angry. I wanted to grab the B**** by the neck and slam her head into a wall. I couldn't stop planning ways to kill her slowly, but then I realized I couldn't because Alan would be pissed.
