The wind past through my hair as the motorcycle zoomed forward. Kayla always hated my bike and so she was squeezing my abdomen so tight I might have fainted if I hadn't been used to it. The gym for my fight came into view and it was getting closer fast. Finally I slowed down and I could feel Kayla loosen her hold. Coming to a stop, I kicked the stick out and wait for my frightened friend to get off. We made our way to the door and Kayla opened it and I walked in.
The crowd was in uproar when I made my entrance. I'd never seen a crowd so large in my whole fighting career, if you could call it that. The cheers didn't stop when I made my way to the ring, it was so loud I couldn't even hear myself think. Alan sat on a stool in the corner of the ring, where I was meant to be ten minutes ago. I made my way to him and the crowd just got louder and louder.
"Forever strong!" I repeatedly said this over and over in my mind, keeping it at bay. This is the saying that kept me going, the movie that inspired me.
When I reached Alan he stood and let me take my seat. "Your late," He said.
"No, everyone else is just early," I smirked at him. Alan shook his head and told the ref that I was ready. The man in black and white moved to the middle of the ring.
"Are you ready to fight?!" The crowd roared. "On this side," He pointed to my opponent, the Chris guy, "the beast of a man,Chris!" The ref screamed into the Mic. "And on this side. We have the most famous person in the streets. Some of you may not ever have seen her face if you hadn't come here tonight. I give you, from the other side of town, Ghost." People stood in their seats, and some stomped their feet making the whole gym shake. I never really knew how many fans I had until tonight.
Chris stood at the other side of the ring, in stead of sitting on the stool provided. He could have given the hulk a run for his money. The shirt he wore looked like it barely stayed from ripping. This man had one fine body, but one ugly face. When u talk about a face only a mother could love, well let's just say even his mother wouldn't love it. His nose was at an odd angle as if it has been broken more then seven times. One side of his jaw is bigger then the other, his eyebrows were about the size of my Palm and his left eye had a huge scar on it. I have plenty of scars but none that show. Chris really was a beast of a man and not in the good way.
He began his way to the middle of the ring, as did I. The ref stood between us and stated the rules.
1. No clawing
2. No biting
3. No head butting
The last rule was put into place after some guy cracked his skull. I still had my unspoken rule, never beat a man when he is down. After he stated the rules and made us touch fists, he slipped out of the ring as the bell dinged. Chris took the first swing and I dodged but he some how kicked my legs out from under me. I landed on my back and Chris tried to pin me. I broke his hold and stood up fast. It was taking some time for him to get up, when he was on his feet but not straight, I slammed my knee into his head. He slumped to the floor and the crowd started their count down. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, Chris stood and the crowd silenced. Round one's bell rang and we walked back to our corners. Alan wasn't by my stool, Kayla was. I looked around the room and saw Alan yelling at Mrs Browne and Mr Browne, Aiden stood dazed behind Alan. What was going on up there?
"Ghost... Ghost!" Kayla shook me and I snapped my head to her. "Here is some water. Hurry you have ten seconds." The bell dinged for a second time and I found myself walking to the middle. I was determined to end it this round because no one has ever gone three rounds with me and that is not going to start today.
As soon as I was in front of him, I can a right hook and then punched him in the stomach. He fell to the floor gasping for air. I stood with my arms crosses waiting for him to get up while the crowd yelled for me to finish him. Finally he stood and I did a flying air kick to his head. His body fell to the mat with a thump and the crowd cheered. The ref came on to the mat and raised my hand to the audience and they roared once again that night.
Alan P.O.V
I knew it! That little boy was going to own up to his mistake! I stormed up the steps to the Browne's private box where they sat with their three boys. As soon as I made it up the steps James stood and walked to me. He had a smile on his face! What is wrong with this family? Did he just think that... Did he even know? Then I turned my anger to his wife.
Eliza came up behind him with knowing eyes. She walked fast and got in front of him, "James, I'm going to talk with Alan for a second. You don't mind do you?" She had him in the Palm of her hand.
"Ye-" James began before I stopped him.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. Now you either tell him or I will." I crossed my arms and glared at Eliza.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. Come James, your brother is taking his anger about something stupid on us." She went to reach for his hand but he pulled away from her.
"Eliza. What is he talking about? Tell me what?" James looked at her intently and she looked close to tears.
"Just leave it alone. It will only hurt our family. Ignore him. Please James!"
"Eliza! Nothing would hurt our family. I promise. Just tell me what he's talking about?" James pleaded.
"I can't." Tears poured from her eyes, and I felt a little bad but she deserved everything that springs from this. I took a yellow envelope out of my back pocket and gave it to James.
James took the white papers out and ran his eyes over them. They widened to the size of saucers and he turned and looked at his daughter fighting in the ring. She was flying, a beautiful breeze, she danced around her opponent and came at him in appropriate times. James the looked back at me. "Why you have even tested me and Eliza to her?" His eyes were questioning.
"You two look exactly like her. When I first saw her, her eyes reminded me So much of yours. Mine were light compared to yours, but hers and yours are the same. I thought it couldn't be, but then I'd never saw your wife. You have to admit she looks just like Eliza."
"How is this possible?" He asked his wife with glossy eyes. "How is it possible that we have another child? That I have a daughter?"
With a broken voice Eliza answered. "This goes back to when your father was still alive. But if I'm going to tell this right I have to start from the very beginning. My first pregnancy...."
SO? WHAT DO YOU THINK? THE NEXT CHAPTER IS GOING TO BE A FLASH BACK IN ELIZA'S POV.
