After my final words to Ryan I lunged. He tried to dodge, but I hit him in the shoulder with a good right hook. As he was stumbling back trying to gain balance, I took this as my opportunity to give a right uppercut to his face. He fell back on the mat and lied there, until the reef go to three. I backed up giving him room to stand and he took this as a sign of nerve and went for the attack.
I saw it before he even tried to hit me, he went with a punch to the gut but before he could place his knuckles on my abdomen I was gone. I had slid under his legs and popped up behind him. Before he could register what was happening I flipped him. He landed hard on his front side and the bell rung signaling the end of round one.
I walked back to my corner of the ring and retook my seat on the stool. Ryan stood up and still stared in shock at me, I just glared. Alan walked up behind my stool and rubbed my shoulders. The face that sat across from me reminded me of the day I swore I would forget, the worst day of my life. That day was the first and last time I would cry over someone.
"You okay?" Alan whispered unto my ear.
"Yeah. Fine." I shrugged and stood up walking to the middle of the ring the same time a smirking Ryan did. I'm ready to smack that smug look right off his face. Though his eyes made me want to melt, the memory made me want to rip out his throat.
"If you want me back, just say it. Babe, I still want you." He winked at me and scoffed.
"The only thing I would ever want from you is your head on a stake," I sneered. Then the bell rung again, here we go.
He swung a left hook aiming for my fave but I bent back and dodged it. Getting up, I punched him in the stomach and placed a kick to his knee cap. He fell back from the blow and knelt to look at this knee. While he was busy, I took his head and slammed it into the mat three times before backing off. The anger I was feeling was so blinding, I didn't realize he had risen and before I could react he landed a kick to my stomach. The air drained from my lungs and I stumbled back trying to catch my breathe. He took this like any fighter, as an open opportunity. He swung at my face and I barely blocked. Another and another came and I still hadn't caught my breathe. I was backed up into a corner and had my hands up blocking my face, He didn't land any but my arms were starting to give way. Before he could break my block my breathe came back and I did a left uppercut sending him flying him back. He scrambled off the ground and I came at him full force. Left, right, left, right, punch after punch I sent flying and they broke his block. He grabbed me so my back was against his front, and his breathe blew against my ear.
"We have been in this position before and we both know how that ended Nemy." That was not something he could say to me, only Aiden called me Nemy. Rage fueled my next moves and I let it guide me.
"Not this time, and never again." I threw my elbow back and slammed it into his gut. I stomped on his foot and hit him with a nose braking punching. Spinning around I punched him in the face hard and kicked him in the side of the head causing him to fall to his knees and down to the mat. With that the bell rung and I had won the match.
Aiden, Kayla, and the guys ran up onto the mat, and I didn't even know they were here. Alan came up and raised my hand in the air, and screamed, "The winner!" and the crowd roared, even some of the gang members.
The gang walked out of the gym and left not looking back. Laim had stopped and asked if I was certain I didn't want in and I told him no. Kayla knew exactly who I fought because she and Alan were the only ones to have ever met Ryan. Ryan's middle name was Leslie and to keep people from really looking him up that's what he used as a fighting name. Tonight I had finally had closure with the fact Ryan broke my heart, I had broken his nose and maybe some other bones. He deserved everything, evey pain I put him through tonight. Kayla and Alan were proud of me and the guys were just excited to finally see me in action.
