I woke up to a snoring Kayla. She spent the night after the fight because she didn't want to got home. She said her mom was sucking up to her father for more money and she didn't want to be there for that. Slowly I stood up from my bed and shoved Kayla so she fell off the other side. There was a thump and Kayla mumbled somethin unintelligent and sat up glaring at me.

"You wonder why I hardly sleep over anymore. That was a rude awakening." She huffed and made her way to the bathroom.

My face feels tight for some reason, and it was throbbing. I followed after Kayla after I sat on my bed for a couple more minutes poking my left eye. I walked into the bathroom and went to the sink next to Kayla to brush my teeth.

Kayla slept over so much, She has her own toothbrush here. One time I dropped it in the toilet and waited until after she used it to tell her. Now she has a little safe where she keeps it. I loomed into the mirror and what I saw made me forget about the toothbrush in my hand. It fell to the floor while I brought my hand up to my eye. That doush from yesterday hit me harder then I thought.

On my let eye the color purple surrounded it, there was hints of blue and green but mostly it was such a dark purple it looked black. Kayla realized I was brushing my teeth and looked up. She sucked in a breath as she watched my light greens eyes turn from a regular dark to a dark so green they to looked black.

Grabbing my face she moved it to the side so she could see the damage all the while holding here toothbrush in her mouth, and her eye wide in fear but mostly shock. Never in I bruised from a match and she knew it. She spit out her toothpaste and rinsed her mouth, then ran from the bathroom. I slowly I clenched my teeth from the anger and brushed my teeth too calmly.

I took a fast shower knowing Kayla needed one and got dressed. Kayla came back in my room with a Wal-Mart bag, and I gave her a confused  look. She was already ready fro school and had a urgent expression on her face.

Before I could open my mouth she answered my question. "I went home hurriedly got ready and went to get cover up for your black eye." She walked over to me and started put it on me. I looked at it on the mirror on my bedside table.

"It looks ridiculous. No I'm not wearing this mud mask thing that is suppose to hide things when all it does is make it look like your face is falling off. Plus I have swimming so people are bound to see it anyway." I sighed and washed it off.

Kayla and I ate some breakfast, then she grabbed her car keys and we left for school. Alan made me hold ice on my eye until me left, it didn't do anything but make my face cold though.

The Hummer pulled into the school parkinglot and I hopped out as fast as I could. Kayla and I walked away towards the school as fast as our legs could carry us, while walking. The front doors came into view just as Aiden stepped in our way.

"You have got to be kidding me," I mumbled under my breathe.

"This is no joke Nemy. Were you trying to ignore me?" I could hear the fake hurt in his voice though some of it sounded real. Keeping my head down I tried to go around him, But it was not happening. "Look at me Nemy. Did I do something wrong?" He put his hand under my chin and lifted my head so he could look in my eyes. When he finally pride my head up his eyes filled with rage and he put his right hand by my left eye. Softly he dragged his thumb over the bruise. "Who the f*** did this?"

"No one, Aiden. I fell and hit my eye, I'm a klutz it's what I do." I shrugged bot understanding his anger over a black eye.

He dropped his hands from my face and clenched and clenched his fists. "Was it that who're Brittney? If it was I swear to-,"
