Chapter 19 - Destination X

I can't believe I'm going home next week. The time really flew by here. I haven't seen or heard from TJ and Damion since I told them to suck it up and fix their problems which was about four days ago. I feel bad about how I left things and I really don't want to go back home with everything not sorted out, especially between TJ and I.

"Azora" My dad entered my room interrupting my thoughts.

"Yes daddy?"

"Your mother and I decided that since you are leaving next week we want to go away for a couple of days, just the three of us." He shifts from one foot to the other looking uncomfortable. "I know that you want to stay here just in case Damion or TJ wants to fix things and come to you, but your mother and I thought it's best for you to get away from all this ..." He waved around his hand revering to the situation between Damion TJ and I. "chaos, we want to spend some quality time with you."

I decided to go with it, I need to get away and I want to spend some time with them, I don't know when I'll see them again. "Okay I'm in. Where are we going and when are we leaving?"

My dad smiled obviously relieved that I agreed so easily. "We want to leave today, if possible, it's about two hour's drive from here and where we are going is a surprise so you'll just have to wait and see. You don't need to pack fancy clothes."

I'm actually excited, I wonder where we are going. "Okay I'll start packing! I'll be ready in an hour."

An hour later and we have packed and are ready to leave.

"Um, mom shouldn't we just get something to drink for the road and snacks for dad while he is driving?" My dad always likes to eat while he drives, I guess it keeps him busy and awake.

"Yes, we definitely need to get some drinks and snacks otherwise I won't be able to make the two-hour drive."

"Dad you know that I can drive as well, so if you're tired I can take over. Don't push yourself too far."

We got in the car to go to the mall quickly and from there we'll be heading to the mysterious destination. "No, Azora you are on holiday so you don't have to drive your mom can drive when I get tired, but I doubt it I'm not that old."

"Yes daddy I'm sure you're not." That's a lie he's ancient!

We pulled up to the mall and my mom gave me a small list of things I had to get while they quickly went to do another errand.

Cookies? Since when do they eat cookies? I sigh and head to the aisle that should have cookies. As I stood there trying to figure out which cookies to take I felt a hand on my shoulder. I whirled around and relaxed when I realized it was Damion.

"I'm sorry I did not want to scare you Azora."

"No it's fine. I'm good."

He points to the small list in my hand. "Doing shopping?"

"Um something like that. My parent's and I are leaving for a couple of days they are taking me to a mysterious place." I could see his face fell at that.

"Oh, for how long will you be gone?"

I shrugged at him. "Maybe two or three nights. I don't really know what they are planning. I'm sorry, but we have a long drive ahead of us so ..."

He puts up his hands up in surrender. "Okay, I get it. Can I walk with you?"

I'm really not in the mood to talk to him, I was hoping TJ would have come to me first not him, not that he actually came to me but whatever. I sigh deeply not trying to hide my irritation. "Fine."
