Chapter 13 - Part 2

TJ's POV

Ever since I saw her last night I can't seem to get her out of my mind. I barely slept because whenever I closed my eyes I saw her beautiful grey/blue eyes stare back at me. I swing my feet from my bed in frustration and get up, deciding to get ready for the day even if it is only past 6.

As I headed to the kitchen I could hear whispering. "Hey, what is going on?" I saw my mother busy making coffee and to my surprise Suzanna is sitting at the breakfast counter. They both looked up when I spoke and Suzanna gave me a dazzling smile. "I could not sleep and when I came down stairs mom was already awake." I could see she was hiding something but did not read too much into it.

"Well then looks like you are not the only one." I sigh and sat next to my sister, when did she grow up so fast? My mom put a cup of coffee in front of each of us and came around sitting on the other side of me, that is when my eye caught something ... I grabbed Suzanna's hand before she could reach for her cup. "Did this happen last night?!" She smiled at me and her happiness radiated of off her, she nodded her head and her eyes was full of happy tears. "I still can't believe it! Oh I wish you were there to see it, but you disappeared when you got home before I could share the news." She frowned at that thought and scrunched up her nose ... here we go.

"Where did you disappear to? You missed the whole thing! I know you dropped Azora off at her house and I saw you when you got back but just like that" she snapped her fingers in my face" Poof! You were no where to be found!" She punched me in my arm to show her disappointment, the way she always ends up doing. She folded her arms across her chest and filled her mouth with air making her cheeks stand out. My mom chuckled silently as she watched my sister's tantrum, I guess she never fully grew up. 

I pinched her one cheek between my fingers causing her to blow out all the air, which sounded exactly like a deflated balloon ... oh the irony. "I'm sorry. If I new he was going to ask you I would have gone back to the party. I was just distracted and would not have been good company." She huffed at me "That is because you only had Azora on the mind." I could not help the slight blush that appeared on my face and Suzanna along with my mother burst out laughing.

Just like that my mom stopped abruptly and put two and two together. "Is this the girl you kept on talking about in High School? The girl that had your head spinning and made you so frustrated? The one you never told how you truly felt?" I hung my shoulders in defeat. "That is the one." There was a short silence between us before Suzanna spoke up. "Wow, that sucks. No wonder the two of you looked so shocked seeing each other ... Wait so she is the one that went out with -" "Yup" I interrupted her. "and all that time you were -" "yup" I interrupted her gain. "and you never told her!?" Her voice rose an octave at the end as realization sunk in. I just nodded wondering if I made a mistake never telling her... "Damn, bro that is tough! You have to tell her. Now is your chance and from what I saw last night, she is head over heals for you too."

"The day she vanished I decided that I would ever have the privilege of seeing her again I would tell her ... I just don't know how and if now is the right time..." I purposefully ignored the last part of her sentence, not wanting to get into it. My mom put her hand on my shoulder to get my attention. "TJ if you still love her after all this time you have to tell her, other wise you will always wonder what if. You don't know if she will disappear again so if the time is right or not, tell her." I just nodded knowing she is right but how do I get another opportunity to see her again? Knowing her she will be stubborn and not call or text me back.

After that conversation time seemed to fly fast as everyone woke up and started their day. I took a couple of weeks off from work just because it was currently so stressful.  Towards the end of the day Keven invited me to his parent's house and said I need to bribe Azora, no doubt this was my sister's doing but I was grateful. I also knew exactly what to bribe Azora with so, not thinking twice I got in the car and went to buy Pizza.
