Chapter Seven

Liana stood in shock, even after Acario had lifted his lips from her,

“So do you get it? Leave us alone.” Acario grabbed Liana’s arm and forced her out of the building, leaving a seething Lisa behind.

“Are you angry?”

“Huh. Oh. Nah, it’s not every day a hot vampire kisses you,” She joked returning to her senses.

“That’s true. I just got so angry after she called you a freak.”

“You know you just committed social suicide.”

“Hey. I’m a hot vampire, I really don’t care about a social life.” Liana grinned,

“Too true. Now let’s go hang out.” And with that, the two made their way to Liana’s house.

“Fold Acario, she’s got a good hand!”

“Flora! You’re taking all the fun out of this,” Liana pouted as Acario folded. For the past half hour they had been trying to play poker but Flora, Tyler and Marcus were making it very difficult.

“Correction, I’m making it more interesting!”

“Ugh. Whatever! I need to make dinner.” Liana threw down her cards and stomped to the kitchen. Acario’s laughter followed her down the hallway.

“Are you angry?” He asked, leaning against the counter.

“That’s the second time you’ve asked me today, you really should stop pissing me off.”

“Hey, this time wasn’t me, it was your friends.” He pointed out as Liana put some rice into the pot,

“You laughing doesn’t help,”

“It so does. Come on, lighten up. Watch this rice boil with a smile on your face,” With that he leaned over and forced her to smile by pushing the corners of her mouth up with his fingers, “That’s better.”

“Good job, vampire boy,” Marcus said as he appeared next to Acario on the counter,

“Anytime.”

“Well if you guys hadn’t ruined all my fun, I wouldn’t be in a bad mood you know!” Liana put the mince into the microwave to defrost it,

“All in good fun, Liana. Anyway we have to go talk to Abel.”

“Abel? All of you?” This caught Liana’s attention. Something big must have happened if even Marcus had been called along. Normally it was only the guardians that Abel spoke to.
