Chapter Eighteen
A month went by without Liana even realising it. She had easily fallen into a routine. She would wake up around two in the afternoon, shower, message Acario and her Mum, eat some food then read in the lounge until Saba (the vampire man) awoke. Then the two of them would go out and train for the night. Saba had been training her well and she felt like she had full control over her powers.
She missed Acario and her Mum like crazy but she tried to think of it as preparation for University. Saba had never once hurt her and they quickly became friends after Liana stopped caring about the whole kidnapping thing.
Her guardians were eventually allowed in after they swore not to tell anyone of Liana’s whereabouts. After hearing Saba say that, Flora, the smartass, replied with, “Not even the mailman?” Ha. Ha.
Although everything was going well, Liana knew something bad was about to go down. How? Abel had been constantly by her side for the past two days. He never spoke but his presence indicated that he was going to have to protect her soon.
“Hello, Liana, had a good day?” Saba walked into the lounge wearing his training clothes which consisted of black track pants and a plain black v-neck t-shirt. Recently Liana had been noticing how good looking Saba was.
She closed her book, “Very good. Shall we train?”
“We shall,” And with that he started walking to the front door when suddenly he stopped, causing Liana to run straight into him.
“Saba?”
He turned to her, “Your clever boyfriend has found you. He’s at the force field,” He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, “Well I guess you have a decent enough control over your powers now so we should go confront him. No doubt Darius will arrive shortly,” He grabbed her face in his hands, “I am going to reveal all of Darius and Acario’s secrets and you are no doubt going to be hurt. Please remember that I’m doing this for your own good. Also, if you can’t forgive Acario, please don’t forget me,” He then bent down and placed his lips onto hers, “I’ll always be good to you,” With that he turned and walked out the door.
“Liana, you must go. I am here to protect you, never forget that,” Liana looked up at Abel, trying to get over the fact that Saba had just kissed her,
“Abel, is something bad going to happen?” He just smiled and she knew that she wasn’t going to get an answer from him. Using her new speed she soon arrived at the force field where Saba and Acario were.
Liana’s heart lifted as she caught sight of Acario. She wanted to run over to him and wrap her arms around him but she knew that the force field would throw her back if she tried so she just settled with standing in front of him,
“Liana!” He also seemed to know about the force field because he didn’t approach her, “Liana, are you ok?”
“I’m fine. How’s my Mum?”
“She’s fine. She’s worried, of course, but she’s ok,” He turned to Saba, “Why can’t I move past here? Why did you kidnap her?”
