"Maya come hereee" Cassidy pouts from her bed. "We have school Cass." I point out laughing but walking over to her nonetheless. She gets up on her knees and puts her arms around my neck. My hands automatically go to her waist. "But if we stay here we can do this..." She leans in and kisses me slowly. I can't help but think that she makes a good point. She leans back pulling me onto the bed with her then flips us over so I'm on my back and she's straddling me. Her lips find their way to my neck and I submit "Ok you win" I tell her. She sits up on me with a smile. "I knew I would." She tells me and I roll my eyes. "Now this must go" she smirks pulling at my shirt and-

I wake with a start. My heart is pounding as I take in my surroundings. I exhale when I see my posters on my wall.

Oh my god. What in the absolute hell. That dream felt waaay too real.

I turn my head to see Cass snuggled into my side. Well on my side is an understatement, she's practically on top of me! Her head's on my shoulder with her arm thrown over my waist as half her body lays on mine. It's then I notice one of her legs tangled up with mine and my traitorous arm is wrapped around her.

How the hell did I not notice her basically on top of me. I should probably move.

I start to lift up a little but she holds on to me tighter, burying her face into my neck.

Nah I should stay, I mean she looks so comfortable. Yeah that's a good reason. It's not cause I'm enjoying this. Nope it's strictly for her benefit.

I look down at her again and can't help but wish we could lie like this always. I freeze when I feel her lips move against me before she breathes into my neck. My eyes snap shut and I pretend to be asleep, a couple seconds later I hear her groan before trying to stretch. "Oh shit" she breathes out as I feel her head move. I assume she's taken note of our current position and mentally prepare myself for her leaving my side. But she doesn't leave.

"Fuck man why does she have to be so fucking cute in the morning" I hear Cass mumble so low I almost didn't catch it.

That's the second time she's called me cute in twenty-four hours. But who's counting.

I can't tell what she's doing since I'm still pretending to be asleep but I feel her fingers trail softly across my stitches. A second later I feel something else pressed against them. They're soft and warm and I smell...vanilla?

Are these? Is she-is she kissing me right now?!?!

A little too soon for my taste she pulls back. I fight the desire to smile but realize I can't stop the blush that's sure to form on my face. I decide to choose this moment to "wake up", I scrunch my nose up and start stretching as if I'm just now waking up. I feel Cass practically throw her self off me and hear a thud on the floor. I silently chuckle to myself before I look over the side and see her on the floor.

"You know if you didn't want to share a bed with me all you had to do was say so" I joke. "Ugh shut up, I fell off" she tells me as she gets back on the bed. "I can see that." I say, my voice laced with amusement, she flips me off and I just laugh. "Anything you wanna do today?" I ask getting up. "The mall?" She questions, I shrug and she nods.

We shower and change before heading out, deciding to grab some breakfast (more like lunch) on the way out. It doesn't take us that long to get there and when we do we park close to the food court and get lunch before wandering around. As we're leaving he food court we hear someone calling out our names and turn around to see our friends Keisha and Xander run up to us.

We hug and they tell us they're just wandering around too so we decide to all wander together. "So Maya what happened to your face?" Keisha asks as Xander leans forward to look at me from her other side. "What happened you get in a fight with Laila Ali or something?" He jumps in front of Keisha mimicking some boxing moves "Boy move." she pushes him away. I shake my head and tell them Dave did it. Just like Cass they look in disbelief at me when I tell them why he did it. "First off: wow I can't believe Dave of all people would do something like that. Second: welcome to the club love." Xander says engulfing me in a huge hug.

Xander came out back in eighth grade and, as he says, has lived fabulously ever since. "You're gonna scare her straight again, get off her." Keisha tells him pushing him back before giving me a hug herself. "Ooh you so mean. Stop acting light skin." He tells her and we laugh as she sticks her tongue out at him.

We're sitting by the fountain and talking about what we plan to do for the rest of the summer when Xander nudges my shoulder and points to a bench across from us. "Maya that cutie over there has been focused on you for like ten minutes." I look up to where he's pointing and I see a girl around my age wave at me and I wave back. Shes wearing a hat so and I can't really tell if her hair is short or just up from here. She has on a t-shirt and some jeans, nothing really extraordinary, but she makes it look like the best outfit in the whole mall.

"She's cute, go say hi." Keisha tells me, I look to Cass and raise my eyebrows silently asking her what she thinks. She just shrugs her shoulders "she's cute enough I guess" she mumbles looking kind of...downtrodden?

She looks a little upset but why?

"She's coming over here!" Keisha exclaims and Cassidy's head snaps up. I turn to look myself and sure enough she's heading toward us. She stops in front of me and extends her hand. "Hey I'm Lexi." "I'm Maya." I tell her as I take her hand to shake it but instead of her shaking my hand back she kisses the back of it.

"That's a pretty name." She tells me with a smile. "So I was over there with my friends when I saw you and I just had to come introduce myself and say hi." She takes her hat off and runs a hand through her hair. It's short like the way Ruby Rose wears hers, it suites her. "We're about to leave but can I get your number and call you sometime?" Lexi asks and bites her lip, not in a 'I'm trying to be sexy' way but more like she's nervous I'll say no. It's kinda cute.

Maybe I should give it to her, maybe it'll get Cassidy off my mind and I can go back to having a normal friendship with her again.

I look over to Cass and she's looking everywhere but at me and Lexi.

I guess that settles it then.

"Sure I'd like that." I tell Lexi with a smile and she beams as she pulls out her phone to put my number in. We exchange numbers before she goes back over to her friends and they leave.

"Wow girlie look at you. Are you gonna call her?" Keisha asks and I shrug. "I think so. I mean she was cute and it's not like I have any girls or guys breaking down my door to date me." I tell her and she nods. Her phone goes off and she tells us she has to go meet her dad. We hug her and Xander (they rode together) goodbye.
