My Full Eclipse

Chapter 12

*Trigger Warning

I check my phone for the sixth time in ten minutes as I wait for Lexi to pull up. I'm waiting for her in my schools parking lot with Cass. "My relax." She places a hand over mine. "Easy for you to say. You're not breaking up with anyone today." I take a deep breath and exhale trying to calm down.

"Look there she goes." I turn around to see Lexi's car pulling into the parking lot. I give Cass a hug before getting out of her car and into Lexi's. "Hey babe." She greets me before giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. "Hey...do you mind just heading to my house instead of yours?" I glance at her out the corner of my eye and see her shrug. "Yeah no problem."

Best to just get it over with like a band aid.

"Uh look Lexi I-we need to talk." I tell her as we pull up to a stop sign. "About?"

"Well remember how I told you about how I had feelings for Cassidy?" I notice she grips the steering wheel a little tighter before relaxing. "Yeah..." She nods for me to continue. "Well uh she came out to me last night." She nods "Oh that's cool." She turns into my neighborhood. "Babe-Alexia. She has feelings for me too." She looks at me then pulls over, I notice we're about two blocks from my house. "So you're gonna leave me for her?" She starts laughing. "Oh that's rich. But no, you aren't leaving me." I look at her like the crazy person she sounds like right now.

"You know how I feel about her Alexia I-" "Stop calling me that!" She shouts. "Maya you are my girlfriend and I refuse to let her come between us." She tells me with a crazed look I her eye.

Now would be the time to get out and walk, maybe run, home.

I move my hand to open my door but she locks it. "We aren't done here Maya."

"Lexi we can still be friends but we're over."

That's right stand your ground.

"Ok." She nods next I thing I know I see her hand fly out. She slaps me then grabs me by the throat. "And I said we aren't breaking up." She growls then punches me in the stomach. I cough and try to breathe in to get my breath back but her hand on my throat makes it difficult. "Get this through your head bitch, you're lucky to be with me. I tried being nice but you just had to push me huh?" I try to pull her hand off of me but she's too strong. She grabs my wrists and holds my hands down in my lap then bangs my head into the head rest.

I feel tears start to sting my eyes as my head begins to throb. She takes her other hand from around my throat and grabs my face to make me look at her. "I don't wanna hear another damn word about Cassidy from you. I don't wanna see you with her, smell her on you, in fact you're going to just stop hang out with her." She demands before punching me again.

What the fuck have I got myself into?

"I know what you're thinking 'once I get out of the car I never have to see her again!' Oh how wrong you are though." She chuckles then opens her glove compartment and pulls out a gun.

By this point I'm full blown sobbing, just praying that this is a bad nightmare. "Open your mouth." I glance at the gun then at her. "I said open your fucking mouth." She growls and I follow directions. She shoves the barrel of the gun in my mouth and I cry even harder. "You see my love, if you decide to get out of my car and tell anyone what had happened here I won't shoot you." She shakes her head and chuckles some more. "No. I'll just drive around the corner and blow Cassidy's fucking brains out." My eyes widen at the thought her killing Cassidy.

"And then I'll turn and shoot you too. Because if I can't have you, no one can darling." She pulls then gun out of my mouth and I almost throw up.

What happened to that nice girl I met in the mall? Was she always like this and I just didn't see it? I should've paid attention to that warning sign a month ago.

"Now baby don't think I don't love you because I do. You just made me do this to you. I had to make you understand that you belong to me and me alone. Ok? Give me a kiss." She places a chaste kiss on my lips before letting go of my hands. "Now I'm going to drop you off at your house and I'll be by to pick you up in the morning. I don't want you driving anymore."

I just nod because honestly I'm too scared to do anything else right now. I just want to get the hell out of this car and away from this psychopath. She pulls up to my house and grabs me before I can get. "Fix your face before you get out."

I take a few minutes to wipe my face and take a couple of deep breaths before getting out. "Love you baby." She calls out but I don't bother turning around not even when I reach the door.
I step inside slide down to the floor next to the stairs.

I can't believe what just happened to me. God why did I ever go back to her, I should've just broken up with her over text. What am I going to do?

"Sweetheart?" I look up to see my dad's head poking around the corner. "What happened, did you and Lexi break up?" I can't take it, I break down and start crying again. He comes over and kneels down to hug me. "It's ok baby girl. There are more fish in the sea." He pulls me up with him and I flinch back in pain when his arm touches where she punched me at.

"Maya what's wrong, are you hurt?" He frowns. "Daddy." I whimper and touch where I'm sure a bruise is starting to form at. "Lisa's in the living room, come on." We head into the living and see Lisa picking her keys up. I guess she must be getting ready to go to work. "Hey Maya how-" she stops once she gets a look at my tear streaked face and dads concerned one. "What's wrong?" Dad looks at me waiting for an explanation. I take a shaky breath and lift my shirt up to show a large red mark on the left side of my stomach.

"Oh my god what happened sweetie?" Lisa comes over to examine me. I sniffle and look at my dad then down at Lisa.

I have to tell them. It's the only way to keep this from spinning even farther out of control.

"Lexi did it." I mumble. "You said what?" Dad asks and I look up at him.

"Daddy, Lexi did it."
