Chapter 5

Micah Grayson

Micah had convinced aunt Jess to take him car shopping. He just couldn't see himself walking again if she had to work late.

If he had another run in with those knock off gang bangers he was for sure going to hurt someone. That was a promise he wasn't one to do false threats.

"You see anything you like?" Jess asked looking at the vehicles that graced the dealerships showroom floor.

With his hand pulling at the fine hairs upon his chin the other one rested in his pocket. Everything looked expensive.

"Can you afford this?" He asked looking back at her as she was admiring a BMW i8.

"Just pick something you like Micah. I'm no window shopper. I wouldn't have come here if I couldn't afford anything in here."

Not wanting to argue with her about her finances Micah simply nodded his head.

There was one car I'm particular that caught his eye.

"Aye?" He called out to the man who worked there whom he'd asked to walk five paces behind them because he didn't like how his face looked.

"Your nephew has nice taste. Here we have our black on black matte 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT. The infamous hell cat." The little man beamed with excitement. "The motor has been redone with-"

"How much?" Micah asked again not interested in all that extra fancy car talk he was going into.

"About 65,000." The man said clasping his hands together.

Looking over at Jess Micah lifted his eyebrow waiting for her to approve or disapprove.

"It's his world. If the boy wants a hell cat start the paper work for the damn hell cat." She shrugged.

If that's what Micah wanted then he'd get it. In Jess's mind he deserved it. She was doing what she did best. Spoiling him.

"Where's my Mic?" Jess asked walking through her sisters house.

She'd just gotten out of school and wanted to stop by to see her favorite nephew.
