Sitting in the cafeteria with Bahari, Micah played over his food. He was definitely in a better mood, but he also found himself worried about Cassie. Seeing her cry and then having to leave after tore him up.

"What's yo issue?" Bahari asked finally breaking him from his thoughts.

Shaking his head Micah ran his hands down his face. "Same ole shit. Ready to get the fuck out this bitch. Speaking of getting out where yo ass go last night?"

Cracking a smile Bahari rubbed his hands together.

"I went by my ex house and beat her shit out the frame."

Chuckling Micah couldn't even finish pushing his food around on the plate. Wiping his hands he stood up from the table. "You a fool man."

Making his way to his room Micah couldn't help, but to think about Cassie and how she broke down the night before. He wanted nothing more than to be there for her and he couldn't. He was beating himself up about it.

Laying across the hard twin size bed Micah placed his hands behind his head. In his mind he thought of ways to hurt Dylan for the pain he'd caused his two daughters. He couldn't imagine them losing a mother and then facing an abusive father right after.

It caused him to think about his own relationship with his parents. He hated them with every fiber of his being, but deep down he missed them. He wished they were there along with Mel and that they were a normal family.

The reality was that would never be the case. Micah murderer his parents in cold blood and his inner demons haunted him for it everyday. He would never be able to escape his twisted reality. He was who he was and he had to deal with it. No matter how much he yearned to be normal he wasn't. No matter how much he wishes he could go back and change things he couldn't.

The craziest thing about it was that if someone asked him if he would do it again he'd tell them yes. Why? Because in his mind everything he did was justified in protecting himself. Micah had to protect Micah at any cost. Even if sometimes it was his inner self that he was protecting himself from.

Standing up Micah removed his shirt and kneeled at his bed side. Rubbing his hands together he ignored the cold breeze that crept up his spine.

Clasping his hands together he bowed his head as his body shook.

Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes.

"I don't know if I'm doing this right or if I'm even aloud to do this with all the shit I've done, but I heard you cool on that so I apologize. I know it ain't no help for a fucked up nigga like me, but God I ask that you protect my baby. I can handle myself, but I can't sleep knowing that I can't protect her. So I'm asking you to do that for me. If you can do that I can at least try to stick this shit out here for Cassie's sake." He paused for a second before speaking again.
