First off I really don't care about discussing the dogs in this book. Let Micah have his joy. Second idc if you like Chris or not if I see you talking about him I'm muting you PERIOD. I dnt care. I'm usually cool on letting y'all say what y'all want just chill on Chris. I dnt play about him or August. Third it's obvious that Micah has a problem mentally I stated it more than enough times like read people it's fundamental. On with the story.

Chapter 8:

Cassie Reynolds

Opening the front door to her house Cassie held her cheer bag against her shoulder as she locked the door. It was dark outside as practice ran later than she'd expected.

Hoping that no one was home so that she could get some peace and quiet she jogged upstairs to put up her things.

Stripping out of her practice clothes once she was settled she made her way to her restroom that was in her room.

Today they had a meeting after practice regarding people's actions. Of course the meeting was for Olivia and of course she didn't show up.

She was beginning to really show her true colors with her recent behavior and Cassie wasn't up for it.

Not wanting to drown herself in thoughts of Olivia she pushed it to the back of her mind as she rinsed the soap from her body. Her thoughts quickly drifted to Micah.

The way he'd left school earlier in the day all shaken up really had her concerned. Everyone was saying he jumped into the pool shouting someone's name frantically. The whole school was calling him weird as if they weren't doing that already.

Cassie felt bad. Whatever he had going on seemed to really be taking a toll on him.

Pulling her bottom lip between her teeth she stepped out of the shower wrapping her dry off towel around her body. Making her way into her room she turned on her fan before laying back on her bed enjoying the breeze.

As she laid there she started to doze off before a loud knock sounded at her door startling her.

Pulling her towel closer to her body she stood up rummaging through her drawers for something to throw on.

"Just a second." She called out pulling a large shirt over her head.

"Meet me downstairs." Her father called out in his usual stern tone which caused her to sigh I'm disappointment.

The only time he wanted to talk to her is if he was upset with her about something. It was rare that he was happy about anything she did. Although she tried hard to please him her efforts were pointless. He wasn't the same after her mother passed and she hated it.

Once she was finally decent Cassie pulled the messy bun her hair was in down letting her loose curls fall shaping her face.

Taking her time Cassie jogged down the stairs and toward the kitchen. Peeking her head in she noticed her older sister Cameron cooking at the stove while her father read over his news paper.

"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to join us?" Her father Dylan asked looking up at her over his glasses.

Walking in Cassie greeted Cameron and her dad before taking a seat at the table across from him.

It was silent as all that could be heard was grease popping as Cassie played with her fingers. She couldn't relax because she was nervous as hell.
