Indigo
Keeping my body behind the sports car I lean out and fire, hitting one in the shoulder before ducking back down as several guards open fire. This isn't going to work. If There was less of them then I would have a chance of escaping but twelve armed guards is too many, especially considering they're spread out. As soon as I move to take out a group of them the rest will have an open target.
One of the guards is calling to me; something about surrendering before they're forced to stun me but my mind is too busy to formulate an answer. Deciding I can't make this situation any worse for myself I take a chance and shoot my head up from my cover. Focussing on nothing but my eyesight I take in every detail of the area, cataloguing the different parts of the garage into my mind before bobbing back down. Tilting my gun up I fire three shot in quick succession. Above me, the fluorescent light bulbs burst in a brief shower of sparks and some trigger-happy guard shoots at the small explosions.
In complete darkness I've got the upper hand.
My eyesight, while not perfect allows me to make out the shapes of the various cars as well as the guards, and their breathing quickens as they realise I've now become the predator. Closing my eyes I wait a moment, letting my ear become tuned to the sounds around me before leaping into action. Sliding my gun to one side I duck the other way, staying light on me feet while the noise of my gun distracts them.
Running at one, I tackle the guard to the ground punching them straight in the throat to stop them from calling out before cracking their head back against the concrete flooring.
My brief scuffle has shots turning my way but I'm back behind cover before they have a chance to shoot me. Around me the guards call out, one of them issuing orders to the others to remain on guard. I never understood why someone would say this; I doubt this would be the time when one of the guards would deicide to take a quick power nap. With no way to see me and no way to know if they're shooting at me or one of their own the fight turns in my favour.
A quick smile flickers across my face while my body tenses. Around me shallow breathing echoes off the walls, allowing me to pinpoint every target and keeping my feet silent I attack. In the dark I am the predator, the hunter, the thing that will make them scream.
Phoenix
Running out onto the lawn I clutch my side while behind me guards close in. From both sides of the house the guards become alerted to my presence and gritting my teeth I push harder. All I have to do is stay ahead of them for a little longer. Once Indigo gets a car, we're out of here.
It must be fear that's keeping me running, while I know my wound should be hurting I can barely feel it. In fact the only reason I'm grasping my side is because some part of my brain, the logical part I think, is telling me that this injury should be hurting. Never before have I loved adrenaline as much as I do now. I've left the lawn by now and am running down the driveway, hoping that at any moment I'll hear a car driving up behind me.
I lurch to the side as a stun bullet buries itself about a foot to the left of me and I only make it another five or six steps before one hits me, a shock of energy surging over my shoulder blade and down through the rest of my body. Half collapsing onto the gravel I freeze up as another hits the centre of my back before flopping to the ground as if I'm some sort of fish choking on to breath.
Still half shaking I'm wrenched to my knees by two guards who twist my arms behind my back. By now half of my shirt is completely red from blood but with my hands unavailable there's not much I can do to stop the blood.
From the electric shocks and the blood loss I'm beginning to feel a little dizzy, something that not even my adrenaline spiked blood can fix and I only vaguely hear one of the guards talk over his communicator to Aradonious.
It can only be a few minutes but by the time Aradonious walks out to where I'm kneeling I'm half slumped over, a red pool slowly widening around me. In the dark I doubt the guards have even realised I'm bleeding so badly and Aradonious looks and smirks "Cutting your tracker out, not a smart move. You should be thankful we stopped you, I doubt you would have found safety soon enough to stop yourself from bleeding out."
Even in my barely conscious state I make the effort to sneer at him "Yeah your generosity has always been overwhelming."
Aradonious just motions back to the house "Tale him back, the last I heard the girl was in the garage, probably trying to steal a car. I want everyone else down there to ensure she doesn't escape."
I'm dragged to me feet and half stumbling, begin to walk back to the house. So there's goes any hope of getting out of here, unless you count being driven out in a body bag once they've finished with as escaping. After ten steps or so my vision is going dark and I only faintly hear people's cries as a loud crash erupts from the house. Whatever Indigo's doing I'm past caring, sounds are starting to dim and my eyesight is blurry and fractured.
Still the commotion is enough to gain my interest and tilting my head up from its half hung position I manage to see a bright yellow sports car driving out of the now broken garage door. Vaguely I notice it's one of Aradonious favourites and if I had enough energy inside me, I'd smile. The body is covered in holes from where someone has shot stun bullets into it. Aradonious is not going to like that.
It's wheels spin as the person driving accelerates and heads straight for us. Guards scatter on either side while a few rush to protect Aradonious. The two holding me, shove me to the side and away from the car. The windows are down and I watch as a hand appears out the drivers seat, a gun in its grip.
Two shots and my guards slumped at my feet. Their arms had been the things holding me up and I nearly collapse myself now that I no longer have them supporting me. Staggering to the car I open the nearest door, which turns out to be the back door and practically topple inside, half winding myself as I face plant into the leather of the seats. Twisting my head I watch as Indigo shoots out both windows while Guards attempt to rush the car. My door is barely shut as she accelerates off, dirt flying up behind the car while guards yell orders to each other.
Indigo shoots a glance back at me her eyes widening when she sees the dark blood that creeps down the leather seats. Lying across the back seats my hands feebly attempting to stop the bleeding I rasp. "Nice entrance," before blacking out.
