I bit my lip as I stared on my laptop.
Graduation uniform, said at the top part of the page. I sighed. I should be happy na patapos na ako ng Medical School, pero hindi eh, ayoko pang grumaduate! Who am I kidding? Studying is the easiest job in the world.
My phone rung causing me to jerk on my sit. I looked at my transparent door and saw no one outside.
"Dennise speaking, how may I help you?"
"Hey Doc! Louis Alfonso Revilla is looking for you, would you mind if I ask him to come in your office?" Jessy asked form the other line.
I bit my lip, tapped my fingers on my table as I was contemplating myself. Louis, what do you need this time? I sighed.
"Alright, let him in."
"Okay, I'll see you later Doc."-Jessy
"Yep. See yah!" I hung up and leaned at my swivel chair.
I opened another tab on my laptop, logged into my gmail account and sent the picture to Alyssa Dan. Busy yon today, may business meeting daw out of town, means, late yun uuwi tonight. It's been 2 weeks since that day na nakauwi kami. Ghad! The next day, ayaw niya talaga akong pakawalan. Nasanay na naman siya, and business meeting out of town is good for her, para malayo siya ng kaunti saakin.
By the way, Louis came in my room holding a bouquet of flowers. I smiled at him when he kissed my cheek, It was my friendly greeting.
"Wow, long time no see." He smiled, "namiss kita!"
"Oh, wow! Isang linggo lang akong nawala ah?"
"Isang linggong parang isang taon," sagot niya at ibinigay ang bulaklak saakin. "Flowers for the most beautiful doctor I've ever known."
"Thank you, Louis!" Nakangiti kong sabi at saka inamoy ang flowers, "fernes! May taste ka sa flowers, mabango!"
"Shempre! Ako pa!"-Louis
Nakangiti kong ibinaba ang bouquet ng pulang rosas bago hinarap si Louis. "So, kamusta? Why are you here, may sakit ka ba?"
"Haha, grabe! Pero may sakit talaga ako eh!"-Louis
"Anxiety?" I guessed. Namumula kasi siya. He nodded making me laugh, "Graduation? Haha! Why are you nervous about it?"
"Because," he breathed out, "Gragraduate na tayo! Tapus, kasama pa kita! Partner ata tayo sa graduation ball eh?"
"Really?" Kunot noo kong tanong. Kaagad kong binuksan ang laptop ko, "Are you sure?"
"Yes, and actually, Im here to ask you kung pwede kitang maging partner."-Louis
Sabi ko na eh! Kaya siya kinakabahan, naku! Mga lalake talaga, trope. Psh, kunwari ganyan ganito, yun pala may gusto.
"Sabi dito, we can ask an outsider to be our partner, wala ka bang nahanap bukod saakin?" Takang tanong ko sakanya.
"Ikaw gusto ko."-Louis
"Haha, bakit ako?"
"Bakit? May partner ka na ba? May nahanap ka na ba?" Sunod sunod niyang tanong.
Napalunok ako ng sunod sunod at napaiwas ng tingin sakanya. I didn't ask Alyssa about it yet, kung gusto niyang sumama or hindi. Lalake naman siya, so, pwede, kahit naman maging babae siya ipipilit ko pa rin.
I send the email to her before facing Louis. "Ah, Im not sure yet! Pero, may someone na ako, na gusto kong yayain."
"Ay! Sino?"-Louis
