Alyssa Dan Valdez

It was Monday-busy-day for me. I was home alone reading and writing important informations about our wine company. Thinking about working in an office excites me more than going at the bar and do nothings. Smiling, I tapped my foot on the floor to make some noise.

It's been a week since I left the Lazaro's Hospital. The house is quieter and it creeps me out at night, pero nasanay nalang din ako. I asked my friends many times if they wanted to stay at the house but they had all excuses, napapasingkit mata nalang ako pag nahahalata kong takot din naman sila.

Kami na ata ang coward-squad sa Pilipinas. Psh, but we're awesome!

After finishing the two pages of my report I decided to make my way down the kitchen. Yes, I chose to stay at the second floor since feel ko mas safe ako dun.

It's my favourite drink so far.

I cautiously made my way towards the table and grabbed the phone, "Valdez's residence how may I help you?"

"Too formal A!" Mika said from the other line. A smile tugged on my lips as I said my greetings, "Im here to ask you if you want to play volleyball..."

"Do you think I can play volleyball with the sling?" I cut her off with an obvious fact.

"I didn't say it's today nor tomorrow,"

"Alright, when is it then?"

"Next week..."

"Really Mika?!" I exclaimed and looked down on my legs, "I don't think I can play, sa tingin mo gagaling na paa ko this coming new week?"

"I believe so! Nasasanay ka naman ng mag lakad eh, you just need to work on those legs without your sling."

Napasimangot ako at binitawan ang kahoy kong saklay. I tried stepping on my left leg and I immediately hold onto the table as my support, "yeah, I can do this..." I replied sarcastically.

Mika sighed from the other line, "You'll be fine A, trust me, magaling ka na next week."

"Lah, how'd you know? Manghuhula ka te? Saka, bakit ba ako tinawagan mo about games or whatever? Eh nag wowork din kaya ako."

"Eh kasi I know you play volleyball, magaling ka dun! And Im so sure you missed playing, kaya mo namang ipagsabay diba?"

"How can you be so sure na kaya kong pag sabayin?" Taas kilay kong tanong.

"Because I believe in you."

A smile made it's way on my lips, "okay. I'll play then, pero isang season lang!" Sure Im good at it, I missed playing pero mas gusto ko namang mag focus on the important things... "Im still starting, you know?" I chuckled.

"Well, you better change for the better!" Mika said and I knew she is smiling at the other line, "okay, isang season lang! Pero pag nagbago isip mo, you still can play for the next seasons!"

"Yes! Thank you Mika!"

"Haha, no problem!"

I shook my head while smiling. Akalain mo yun? She knows Im bored with my life, baka naisip niyang maybe bringing me back from my first love would give me good success in life.
