It's Not So Easy

chapter 4

when I walk in the door everyone starts asking me questions like "hey Duff where were you last night?" i know if I said I was at Alicia's Axl would kick my ass so I just say "I was just out with a girl."

"a special girl?" Slash says. "Nah just a stripper, the usual." when I say that it makes me feel like a major dick but I really don't want Axl to be mad at Alicia, or me right now.

they ordered pizza for breakfast since none of us know how to cook, so I set on the couch and eat pizza with the rest of the band.

Izzy comes through the door. we ask him the same questions they were asking me. except Izzy has been gone for a few days, and we haven't heard from him. "dude where have you been? you can't just take off and leave like that when we fight." Axl says as he shoves pizza in his mouth. "I know man, I just needed to clear my head okay." Izzy says as he sets down next to me. "we were supposed to play the Troubadour and the Roxy, but you weren't here." slash says as he strums his acoustic guitar.

"like I said im sorry guys."

"it's just good to have you back!" I say as I hit him on the back. Izzy overall is a really cool guy. the band wouldn't be the same without him.

I go in my room to find Steven in my bed. I'm tired and I really don't feel like waking him up, so I lay in the tiny bed next to him and fall asleep to the sound of him snoring.

when I wake up from my nap it's around 5:30 and we have a gig tonight. I should probably take a shower.  so I take a piss, and get in the shower.

when I get out of the shower Axl walks in. damnit I need to learn how to lock the door. he realizes I'm in here and says "oh fuck man I'm sorry." and shuts the door as he walks out. I thought he was coming in here to beat my naked ass or something.

by the time we all eat again, and get ready it's around 8 and we have to head over to the Troubadour.  we take our instruments and shit and make our way over there.

we go on at 9 so we barely make it in time. we open with "It's so easy" and everyone loves it. I actually wrote the song. as I'm strumming my bass, and really getting into the music I notice someone in the crowd. Alicia. how did she know we were playing? I guess I'll have to wait until we're done to ask, I can't really make a scene on stage.

we go on to play Mr. Brownstone, Nightrain, Out ta Get Me, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine, My Michelle, Mama Kin, and Rocket Queen. "Man we rocked!! we sounded amazing." Slash says as we walk off stage. people think slash isn't friendly, or that he's a dick before they meet him. but honestly he's the most friendly one in the band. the reason why he wears his top hat, with his hair in his face is because he's shy.

we stay and party for a while. Slash and I are drinking and talking to a few other guys from different bands. Axl, Steven, and Izzy went to go find the chicks.

I see Alicia setting with a couple of her friends. "I'll be right back Slash." I say while getting out of my chair. I'm gonna go talk to Alicia.
