It's Not So Easy

chapter 12

"Jesus Christ Duff, put some fucking clothes on! I don't need to see your dick!"

those were the first words I heard today.

"Slash, what the fuck are you doing here so early?" when I say this Alicia wakes up and rolls over. when she does this, her chest is exposed.

"damnit I can't do anything with you two." slash says, throwing his arms up in the air.

"anyway, Axl is still very fucking pissed off at you, but we're going down to the studio to add some finishing touches, and he said we really need you. he just needs time."

"okay, I'll take a shower and be right out." I say jumping out of bed.

"woah there, you have no pants on remember?"

"uhh, oh yeah sorry." I say as I attempt to cover my dick with my hands.

after taking a shower, and telling Alicia I love her, and that I'll be back later, Slash and I are on our way to the studio.

"did Axl talk shit?" I say while I light my cigarette.

"not much. after you left he just kept going on about how he didn't expect it from you. then he went into his room and didn't come out all night."

"I hope he's okay. I don't want him mad at me, but I love Alicia, ya know? I hope we can work things out."

"yeah man, me too."

sometimes it's really hard to have a conversation with Slash because he keeps his hair in front of his face, along with his hat that covers a lot too. oh well, it's Slash.

we get to the studio and everyone is quiet. the guys are probably waiting for Axl to kill me or something.

it's getting really close to the date were supposed to release appetite, and we just have a few finishing touches to do. we're also supposed to hear a lot of the material today too. I can't wait to see how everything turned out, especially "It's So Easy". I'm really proud of that song because I wrote it. we have all pretty much wrote something, but that's my favorite that I've done so far.

out of all of us I think Axl and Izzy are the most talented writers. it's like when you put the two of them together, there's a sort of magic between them that could never be replaced. it's almost like they're soul mates. there total opposites though, but I think that's why they make such a good team. because they balance each other out. Axl has a very outgoing personality, and Izzy doesn't.

we finish putting our finishing touches in, and one of the things that blew my mind the most was the incident with "Rocket Queen". Axl and Adrianna Smith (stevens used to be girlfriend) had live sex for that song. that's one of the reasons why Axl and Steven aren't as close as they used to be. that is by far one of the craziest things Axl has done.

that's also one of the reasons I don't understand why he got so mad at me because of Alicia, but oh well. he must have his reasons.

we listen to the 12 songs that are gonna be on "Appetite For Destruction".

"Welcome To The Jungle", "It's So Easy", "Nightrain", "Out Ta Get Me", "Mr. Brownstone", another one of my favorites, "Paradise City", "My Michelle", "Think About You", "Sweet Child O' Mine", "You're Crazy", "Anything Goes", and "Rocket Queen".

"holy shit! this is better than I ever imagined!" Axl says. I can tell he's so happy about this. more happy than any of us I think.

it truly is amazing. I didn't even think we were this good.

"can we talk alone guys?" I'm assuming Axl is talking about me and him. and sure enough everyone leaves the room.

"Dude listen. I'm sorry for acting the way I did. I know Alicia and I only really dated for a few weeks, so it shouldn't be that big a deal. I love you duff, this band wouldn't be the same without you. I wouldn't be the same without you." Axl says.

damn. I didn't know the guy could be so nice. I guess this whole appetite stuff has got him worked up.

"I'm sorry too, Axl. I love you, and this band." I say.

"brothers?" he says.

"brothers." I say back. then we hug.

when we come out everyone seems shocked. I guess they thought I would come out with a broken nose and a black eye. but instead, Axl and I came out smiling.

"yay! you guys aren't fighting anymore!" Izzy says as he claps. everyone else follows.

"no we decided to stop being immature assholes." Axl says.

"I love you guys, and I can't wait for the release of our album. I have a great feeling about this, I really do." slash says as we all go in for a hug.

I'm so thankful for these guys. them, along with Alicia is my family. I love them all so much.
