Chapter 2

Deadlox's P.O.V.

I woke up before the others, so I quietly crawled out of bed, and slipped out of the room.

I walked over to the record player, and made sure it was wirelessly connected to my headset. I didn't want to wake anybody up. I selected one of my records, and slid it into the slot on the record player.

I danced around the room as the music played through my headset. As I danced I made sure I never hit anything. I made sure I was very careful, because one small crash could wake the others up, and I didn't want grumpy, and scared friends all over me.

I danced and I danced until the music stopped. As the last note played I struck a pose, and just so happened to end off facing the front door.

As I open my eyes I almost screamed, but then I thought of the others. They wouldn't be happy if I did, so I coved my mouth instead.

Nobody had ever entered our cave before.

Sky's P.O.V.

I was in the middle of some plains biome when I saw the sun was setting. No! I couldn't stay out here for the night! I would surely die! I couldn't let that happen. I looked around, and saw the entrance to a cave 2 chunks to my left. It was my only hope, so I ran.

When I got there I slid down a wall until I was sitting leaning against it. I didn't want to put a torch up since it might let the mobs know where I was. Since it was dark, I noticed a light coming from a crack in the wall. I push, and a door opened. I quietly slipped in, and closed the door behind me.

Turning around I couldn't help but stare at what I saw. A guy around my age, with long hair, and wearing a headset, was dancing around the room. I assumed he was listening to music through the headset he was wearing since I couldn't hear anything except for his light footfalls, and my breathing.

When he stopped I took a small step away from the door. He looked up from the pose he had struck, and his hands flew to his face. I don't know why he was so surprised to see me, but then I guessed that he wasn't expecting anybody, and his door is pretty well hidden so I kinda guessed he was also hiding from the mobs. The one thing that threw me off is that this place looked liked it was well lived in, so I was confused.

We stared at each other for a couple minutes, and I started to feel uncomfortable. I shrugged, and he just continued to stare. Finally I broke the silence. "Hi I'm Sky! What's your name?" I asked.

He made a gesture to be quite, and murmured/growled something. I gave him a confused look, and he quietly said, "I'm... uh Ty! Could you be quite please? I don't want to wake my friends." He indicated 2 doors. I nodded.

"What's wrong? Don't know your own name?" I joked, then I went serious, "I would suggest going outside to let them sleep, but the sun just set so it's to dangerous with all the hostile mobs spawning." He just stared at me in disbelief. Did I say something wrong?

"What's wrong? Don't know your own name?" I could hear he was joking, but I still felt guilty for lying to him. I just didn't want any human to know my name. Then he whispered, "I would suggest going outside to let them sleep, but the sun just set so it's to dangerous with all the hostile mobs spawning." I just stared at him again. I was a zombie! I was confused as he didn't just slice me in half with the sword that of his. The reason I knew he had a sword is because I saw the sheath. Now he was acting like I was a human too! I couldn't be one! Or could I? I quickly flicked my eyes in the direction of my hands. They weren't green like the others' were, but pale like this human's.

"Do you want to stay the night?" I asked politely. I wanted him to think I was human.

"Yes please! I'm so tired, and I don't want to go back out there." He agreed happily. I shoed him to the now guest room. Once that room belonged to some zombies that lived here, but now it was empty since they died. I felt a twinge of sadness, but shoved it aside for now anyways. He laid down on the bed and fell asleep right away.

As I closed the door, my friends walked out of their rooms. "Whatcha doing in there?" Terra asked. I knew I wouldn't be able to lie to them, so I told them everything. When I finished they looked at me like I was crazy.

"Why didn't you kill him?" Claire asked.

"I-I just couldn't." I answered.

The others didn't like my answer, but we still went own with our usual nighttime routine. They whole time my thoughts strayed back to Sky.
