Meeting

Chapter 7

Sky's P.O.V.

Ty seemed nervous as we waited for the others to arrive. He smiled a little when he saw Mitch and Jerome enter, probably because he recognizes them. They went over to sit in their seats as Ian showed up. I forgot how small team crafted was, especially with Seto gone. I doubt he'll come back.

We waited quietly for Quentin to show up. "How long does it take a fish to get here?" I asked after a while. Everyone laughed except for Ty who didn't know what was going on. Suddenly the doors burst open. The fish walked in gasping for breath.

"Why does this place have to be so big?" He asked nobody in particular once he got his breath back. "I was having a nice swim while searching for squids in the lake on the far side of the castle."

"Any squids?" I asked.

"None." He repiled. I nodded my head. Quentin rushed over to his spot. Both him and Ian cast curious glances at Ty.

"Why are you so worried about squids?" He asked, confusion evident on his face.

Deadlox's P.O.V.

"Why are you so worried about squids?" I asked knowing that I probably look confused, but, well, I am really confused.

The group burst out into a few gasps and instantly everyone started muttering. Sky let the mutter for a little while before saying, "Silence!" Instantly the room fell into a dead silence. You probably think that because I'm a zombie I should be used to that. Well, your wrong. Me and my friends were usually quite chatty when we were awake and even when we slept the animals still made their noises so I'm not really comfortable with this deadly quiet silence. "Have you seen a squid before?" Sky asked me.

"Once. I was at a village that was near an ocean." I replied. The squids had looked pretty peaceful and, well, weird.

"That explains why you don't know of their evil." Sky said. "Basically squids are trying to take over the world and we are the ones trying to stop them."

"Well I can help you, I guess." I said still kind of confused.

"Well you can think about that. We came here to introduce you to TEAM CRAFTED!" Sky yelled the last part and was greeted by a everyone shouting happily until Sky quieted them down. "Everyone this is Ty. Ty this is Jason, Mitch, Jerome, Ian, and Quentin." Each person waved as Sky said their name.

"Adam I've got to go." Jason said looking towards Sky, which confused me. "I'm due to lead a patrol soon."

"Go then." Sky waved in Jason's direction.

"Bye Ty!" Jason said before leaving.

I cast Sky a confused glance and he smiled. "My real name is Adam." Sky explained. "But everybody calls me Sky." I nodded.

The rest of the meeting was like a welcome party. At some point Jason returned, but I don't know when exactly. It was a great party. I got to know everyone on team crafted, the food was great, and Sky kept calling Jerome, Fluffy, which didn't seem to bother him, and Quentin, Fish, or Fiesh, which was funny to watch since Quentin would sometimes get gumming mad and at other times he would just glare at Sky.

Overall, by the end of the party I think everyone had had a good time. I know I felt a bit more comfortable around the team than when they all first walked in, and I had almost forgiven Mitch for cranking the volume on me. Almost. You see, zombies easily keep grudges, so it'll be hard for me to forgive him. I'll have to try though, after all, it was just meant to be a joke.

"Want me to take you back to your room?" I heard Jason ask.

"Yes please." I nodded.

"Okay." Then Jason turned to look somewhere else and yelled, "ADAM! I'm taking Ty back to his room!"

"Okay!" I heard Sky yell back, and I realized Jason probably could've taken maybe 5 steps and told Sky instead of yelling. I shrugged, these guys do weird things, its best not to ask questions.

Jason's P.O.V.

My mouth was press in a line as I walked Ty back to his room. Something felt strange. Where had Ty come from? I may not know everyone in the kingdom, but the fact that Sky so easily took a liking to Ty seems strange. Plus somebody as unique as Ty should be at least recognizable. I also think that it's strange that when I was talking to Sky about Ty for the first time, he said he found him in a cave and that the door blended into the rock.Why go through so much trouble to hide where you lived? Sky also said that Ty seemed afraid to leave the shade and walk out into the sun. Why? It's not like he's a zombie or skeleton, they burn to death in the light of the sun, but not humans.
