Chapter 9

Deadlox's P.O.V.

My friends were sitting on the couch when I ran in the door. After I quickly shut it behind me, I felt arms wrap around me. I smiled as I saw that they had given me a group hug.

"Where have you been?" Claire asked demandingly.

"How come you didn't burn to death?" Jess asked curiously.

"Why do you smell weird?" Terra half joked.

I smiled at them, but really, I was too tired to answer. "Its a long story." I replied. "Can I tell you guys in the morning?" The others nodded and I walked into the room I shared with Jess.

I had a gift grin on when I saw my bed. My nice comfy bed. I put my headset on the bedside table before I laid down. I was out almost instantly, but only just after I heard the door open. I wonder why they opened the door?

Jason's P.O.V.

I saw a crack near the stone ground that had light coming through it. This is defiantly the place. Without giving it much thought, I opened the door. Ty would probably be angry at me for following him, and I hadn't thought of a good excuse. Oops. Oh well.

I turned and closed the door behind me before surveying the room. I saw that the lights were on so I assumed Ty was in the room. I turned around to be met be a very different scene.

I was faced with 3 zombies looking at me. I could tell they all spawned zombies, so I wondered how they had a cave like this. Where was Ty? There was no blood anywhere, so Ty should be okay. The zombies looked at me with tilted heads, then looked at each other and groaned and moaned like zombies do, only it seemed like these 3 were communicating.

I noticed that 2 of the zombies looked like girls, and the guys almost looked like he was quite smart. One of the girl's had a diamond sword by her side. I wonder were she got that. I noticed that that zombie kept looking at me. It almost seemed as if she was evaluating me, and possibly wondering what kind of sword I had by the glances towards my sword that was still in it's sheath.

I put my hand on the hilt of my sword, but didn't draw it. Better safe than sorry, but even better to not make them see me as a threat. The one that kept glancing at me looked like she was daring me to unsheath my sword.

I stood there like that until the zombies appeared to have come to a decision. They all turned to look at me. The guy pointed towards a door off to one side of the room before shuffling to a different one. The girls went to a different door altogether.

Before I went to the door the zombie had pointed to, I looked around the main cave. The area was split up into sections, those being the kitchen, living room, and a small training area. The thing that caught my eye though was a jukebox with a record sitting on top of it. Adam did say that Ty was dancing to music when he found him.

I shrugged and walked through the door. I was glad to be greeted by a bed. I was tired after staying up both all day, and night. I flopped down on the bed and fell asleep without a second thought.

~-~-THE NEXT EVENING~-~-

Deadlox's P.O.V.

I woke up to the sound of Jess opening the door to our room. I sat up in my bed, grateful to be back home. I stretched and yawned before putting on my headset.

I went out of our room and straight down the hallway without anybody noticing. I wanted to just be alone for a little while before I had to explain everything. I went into the farm room with all of the animals and crops. I didn't have to feed the animals or tend to the crops since Terra would do that herself, but it felt nice to just sit by the animal pen and pet the if they wanted to be petted.

I barely heard the others over the sounds of the animals, but suddenly their voices got more serious and I think there was another person here. There couldn't possibly be, nobody's ever found our place, no zombie or human, except for Sky, but I think he's a little strange for a human.

I would have to tell my friends sooner or later, and I had a feeling they would pester me until they got an answer. I sighed and got up, receiving an upset oink from the pig I was petting. I shrugged and walked out into the main cave.

I stopped in my tracks when I saw what was going on. My friends were arguing with Jason. I couldn't believe it. Jason didn't seem to understand my friends at all, but my friends kind of understood the human language. Both Jess and I almost completely understood it, but for some reason I was the only one who could make it so that humans could easily understand me.

"What's going on here?" I asked in human while walking towards them.

"Ty!" Jason cried happily. "Your alive!" My friends gave me looks of confusion, but I gave a small wave of my hand to tell them that now was not a good time.

"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked. Usually zombies killed everybody, yet here I was completely unharmed, and Jason had been trying to argue with my friends.

"These are zombies." Jason said, exaggerating the word zombies.

"Well your fine." I point out. "Plus, my friends would never hurt me. Unless of coarse I did something stupid, so after this conversation is over I'm guess it'll be explain or pain." Jason looked at me with a look of shock and confusion. I shivered a little as my friends nodded when I said explain or pain, let's just say that I'm usually the one who has to explain or be in pain.

"It's true, we would never hurt Deadlox." I jumped at the sound of Jess speaking human. It was gravely and hard to understand, but it obviously Jason understood 'cause he gave me a weird look. Jess then looked at me. "Why don't you explain now, since I'm sure this intruder would love to hear your story too."

I cringed slightly and then sighed. This might take awhile.
