Chapter 10
Jason's P.O.V.

This was so hard to comprehend. Ty is friends with zombies, or is a zombie. The only guy zombie could speak human, though it's voice was a bit gravely and hard to understand.

My head spun as Ty told me about his life and confirmed that his actual name was Deadlox, not Ty. He sometimes changed into the moans and groans which I was assuming was so that he could talk to his friends. The major thing about this that bugged me was that Ty, or Deadlox, wasn't a zombie, he was a human.

After Ty finished talking, he cringed slightly. I'm guessing because of the whole 'explain or pain' thing he had talked about before. The girls eyed him suspiciously, but then it looks like they decide that he's telling the truth. The guy slowly nodded his head.

"Ty. There's just one problem with all of this." I said slowly.

"What?" He asked tilting his head slightly.

"You're not a zombie. You're... human." I stated slowly.

Deadlox's P.O.V.

My head spun at what Jason said. It couldn't be true. "No." I muttered. I sat down on the couch and put my head in my hands, hoping that this wasn't real. Maybe it wasn't.

I looked up and saw everyone looking at me. Why'd it have to be me? Why couldn't I just be a regular zombie? Sure humans try to kill us, but at least we don't have weird drama like the humans do. Zombies aren't evil, I don't know why humans try to kill us, but they do.

"Why do humans try to kill zombies?" I asked Jason, not knowing what to say.

Jason shrugged. "I don't know. I guess it's because we were always told the zombies were dangerous when we grew up. We were always told to kill them before they could kill us. We always believed it because whenever we were walking across a mob riddled field, zombies would alway shuffle towards us, just like all the dangerous mobs who follow and attack us."

"But wolves and ocelots follow you, but you don't attack them." Jess pointed out.

"That's because we tamed them. They're our pets and protectors." Jason replied.

"You have them to protect you from us?" I asked.

"Well every hostile mob. Cats scare off creepers, and both cats and dogs will attack anything we do, or that attacks them." Jason explained. "And Ty, your not a zombie. Your a human. It's obvious you spawned during the night, which isn't a normal time for humans to spawn, but still possible. The only thing is that normally when humans spawn at night, all the mobs will attack them."

"So I'm a freak?" I asked. Why did I have to be so special? Why couldn't somebody else be in this position?

"No Ty." Jason answered. "You're special."

"And? So what?" I bit.

"I've never heard of this happening before." Jason told me. "I'm almost thinking that we should go talk to Notch about this."

"Who's Notch?" Jess asked.

"Come on bookworm! Even I know the answer to that!" Claire huffed. "Notch is one of the creators of this world. It is said he rules from the Aether. It is also said he has a brother who was banished from the Aether form unknown reasons and now rules from the Nether."

"How'd you not know that?" Terra grinned cheekily.

"That must be from that book with all the boring bedtime stories that human parents tell their children." Jess replied rolling his eyes.

"Hey! I liked that book!" I protested.

"Umm..." Jason trailed off.

"What?" I asked.

Jason gave me a strange look before continuing. "Could at least one of you explain what you guys are talking about. Preferably in English."

"Excuse me?" Confused, I realized that instead of the human langue coming from my mouth, I was speaking in the moans and groans of the zombie langue. "Sorry about that." I laughed, switching back into human. "We were just making fun of Jess for not knowing who Notch was."

Jess stuck his tongue out at me before talking in human. "Why'd you say that you should talk to this Notch guy anyway? He's just a myth!"

"That's where you're wrong." Jason smiled. The rest of us shot each other confused looks. "Most people don't know this, but Notch is actually real. All of team crafted is able to contact him, though we prefer to talk to him in person."

"So then the part about his brother is real too?" I asked.

"Don't be ridiculous! Of coarse Herobrine isn't real. Just a myth floating through the community. I can't believe some people actually think he is real." Jason let out a laugh. "And Ty, if it makes you feel any better, most zombies look the exactly same. The rest are people who were turned into zombies, so the keep some of their old looks. I've never heard of zombies who spawn that look like their own unique individual."

"There you go Deadlox!" Terra exclaimed. "We can all be weirdos together!" Claire and Jess rolled their eyes as I laughed. Jason looked at us in confusion, but shrugged.

"You guys seem happy here together. I'll leave you all alone. I have to get back to the castle, I don't want anybody to worry about me." Jason said. "Especially Sky, he'll want me there if he gets startled." He let out a laugh.

"It was nice knowing you Jason." I said. "Feel free to stop by and say hi if you're ever around."

"Will do." Jason replied. "And come by the castle when you can. I can tell that the others enjoy your company, and we could defiantly use the help fighting the squids if you have any spare time." My friends gave both of us strange looks and I held back a laugh.

"Bye Jason!" I exclaimed.

"Farewell Ty and friends!" Jason said as he walked through the door.

"Weirdest. Night. Ever." Claire stated.

"You guys want to head into the town and do something?" I asked. "Though I love being back, I have to admit I did miss roaming through the town looking for cool things."

"Let's go!" Terra smiled.
