New Years (Joshaya)

Chapter 10

Mayas POV

"Riley!" Cory yells.

Riles looks at me and we nod our heads and walk toward the kitchen.

"Good you both are here. We are taking Shawn and Katy away for a couple days since it's Friday and there is not school next week." Cory yells us.

"Dad who's gonna watch us?" Riley asks

"Hey kiddies!"

"Josh perfect timing! You will be watching Riley, Maya and Auggie for a few days." Cory tells his younger brother.

"Okay then" Josh shrugs.

"Great. We leave in a few minutes," Cory runs off to his room to finish packing.

Riley turns to me with a smile on her face.

"Peaches" she starts

"No. No way" I shake my head

"But please"

"No way,"

"For me?" She asks as she gives me that pleading look.

"Fine! You can invite Ranger Rick" I tell her

"Yay!" Is all she says before running off and calling him.

"Well hello there" Josh smiles as he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close to him.

"Hey" I smile as I wrap my arms around his neck.

"I missed you today, all my classes are boring," Josh pouts.

"My poor baby" I giggle

"That doesn't make me feel better"

"Does this?" I ask before kissing him.

"Much better," he says flashing me his boyish grin that I love.

He leans in for another kiss when I hear the door opening. I immediately push Josh away from me and act like nothing happened.

"Baby girl!" My mom smiles at me as she pulls me into a hug.

"Hey mom"

"Hey kiddo" Shawn smiles at me.

"Hey Shawn" I smile back

"Shawnie baby!" Cory runs in and I let out a laugh.

"And you say he's not your boyfriend," I laugh

"He's not my boyfriend" Cory objects.

"Are you okay with staying with Riley?" My mom asks "who am I kidding of course you are"

"You take care of her" my mom tells Josh. Who nods his head.

My mom knew about Josh and I, the problem was Shawn doesn't know yet. That's why I pushed Josh away, I didn't need him finding out just yet.

"Okay we better head out," Topanga says

Everyone exchanges goodbyes. The parents leave and once Auggie sees the car pull away he yells

"Partayyyy!"

"Auggie no!" Riley says

"You people are no fun," he pouts.

"Cmon I have to drop you off at Deweys" Riley yells Auggie who grabs his bag. He was sleeping over Deweys tonight.

The leave which left Josh and I alone.

He was sitting on the couch watching tv occasionally scrolling through his phone. Maya smirked to herself before plopping down on Joshs lap.

"Well hello there" Maya mimics Josh from before who lets out a laugh.

"Hey babe" he smiles wrapping his arms around me to pull me close.

"You know I cherish these moments because I know we don't get a lot of them" Josh tells me.

"You're so cute" I giggle.

"Only for you babe"
