Hayes' POV

I was sitting on the couch with Nigel, watching TV. I was bored out of my mind because I don't have my phone. Shawn said that they could track down our location or something with it. Plus, my wife and child are gone, so I'm all alone, except for Nigel.

Nigel shot up and started barking then the doorbell rang.

I let out a sigh and got up. I tossed the remote on the couch and walked to the door with Nigel following close behind me.

I opened the door and was surprised to see someone who I hadn't in seven years.

Abby...

"H-Hayes?" She looked shocked to see me "Abby?" I asked

"Oh my gosh, it really is you!" She wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tight. I hesitantly hugged her back.

"What are you doing here?" I asked while slightly pulling away from the hug "That doesn't matter right now, I'm here and so are you. Can I come in?" She asked, excited "Umm... Sure.. I guess." I moved aside, letting her in.

"Would you like anything to drink or..." "Actually, I'm kind of thirsty." She said "Is water ok." "Yeah, that's fine." She smiled.

I walked her to the living room then went into the kitchen to get me and her water.

"So, how's everything been? Ya know... Since we broke up." She asked "It's been good. How about you?" "Fine. Still single, just couldn't really move on." She looked down at her lap "You've been single for seven years?" I asked "No, no," she laughed "I've been in other relationships since we broke up, I just thought about you all the time during them." "If you were so hurt, why'd you walk out on me?" I asked, handing her her glass of water and sitting down "I didn't walk out on you, you just never called." "Why didn't you call?" I asked, getting a little annoyed "Because Nash told me you would call." She said in a defensive tone "And I remember you telling me, and I quote, 'Give me a call once you get your shit together,' but I sure as hell didn't have my shit together." I reached back to set my glass of water down on the small table next to the couch, and when I looked back, a pair of lips were on mine.

She put her hands on my cheeks, forcing me into it. Her soft lips brought back too many memories.

I pushed her away, realizing what the fuck I was doing.

"Woah, woah, woah. Abby." I said while wiping off my lips with my sleeve "What?" "Abby, I'm happily married with a child and another one on the way." "She doesn't have to know." She said while moving closer to me.

"Yeah, she doesn't, and I'm not doing this either. You can't just come to my house after seven years, and try to hook up or get back together or whatever you're trying to do. I'm not still stuck on you. I wouldn't have been stuck on you, anyways, so there was no reason in coming here."

"I just think our break up might have been because it was ya know... That time of the month, and I was just a little emotional, but I thought the feeling might have been mutual." She shrugged "Mutual? Are you fucking serious? You left me on a date when I obviously had something going on, and that was the last I heard of you. You didn't even let me explain myself. What you just said made no sense at all." "I showed up at your door a few days later... Nash told me he would tell you." She said "Well, he didn't, and I'm thankful that he didn't because you already put enough stress on me." "So you didn't care about me enough to even attempt to call?" She asked "No, I had more important things going on." "More important than me?" She asked, obviously hurt "Hell yeah, I was out trying to get the love of my life back while you were mad at me. You were honestly just a distraction from everything that I should have been focusing on, and now, seven years later, I can finally see that. I was pressured into hanging out with you that first night, and tricked into being happy with you. I was just with you because I thought I found what I had with Danica. You are and never were anything to me. Now please leave. My loyal, faithful, and understanding wife would not appreciate you being here." I pointed to the door, and she got up with tears in her eyes.
