Danica's POV

I woke up to sun shining into the window of the guest room Audrey and I were staying in.

I sat up and looked over at Audrey who was peacefully sleeping.

I picked up my phone and checked my messages, hoping Hayes had called or texted, but only saw Twitter, snapchat, and other iMessages.

I sighed, putting my phone down then getting out of bed.

I walked downstairs to see Collin cooking breakfast in his dark green plaid pajama pants and a white t-shirt.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," He looked back at me "Is Audrey still sleeping?" "Yeah." I said while sitting down at the kitchen table.

"Do you guys both sleep in this late all the time?" He asked "This late? It's like 9:00 in the morning." "Danica, it's 12:00." He laughed While pointing to the clock." "Oh, my clock must still be set for LA time," I laughed "why are you up so early?" I asked "I woke up about an hour ago and thought you guys would want a big breakfast." "Awe, thank you." "Don't mention it, but it'll be ready in a minute." "Ok. I'll go get Audrey then." I got up from the table.

I walked up the stairs and into our room to see Audrey still sleeping.

I walked over to my nightstand where my phone was and picked it up. I saw that I had gotten a missed call from Hayes seven minutes ago, so I tried to call back.

I waited for him to pick up the phone, but was only greeted by voicemail.

I hung up the phone and slipped it into my pocket.

I walked over and sat on her side of the bed and slightly shook her awake "Audrey, baby. Wake up." I whispered, caressing her hair.

Her eyes fluttered open as she stirred awake.

"Good morning, sweetie, how'd you sleep?" I asked "Good." She exhaled "Uncle Collin made breakfast, do you want to eat now?" She nodded her head and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She put her hands up in the air, motioning for me to pick her up.

I picked her up so she was on my hip and walked out of the room and down the stairs.

Collin had our plates all set out and was getting a plate for himself too.

"Hey, Danica?" He asked "Hm?" I asked while putting a fork-full of eggs into my mouth "How about we go downtown and show Audrey where we grew up?" He asked while looking down at her.

"That actually sounds like a great idea." "Thanks. How about we go later? Much more is open later at night." "Sounds like a plan." I nodded my head.

It's been like five months, man. I'm sorry. I had really, really long and shitty writers block... But I'm going through and editing Abduction and updating some of my other books.
