Chapter 12

Lamia's P.O.V.

Cameron was fully healed so now he can go back to his room instead of staying in mine. He said that we'll go for a visit tomorrow. I can't wait to be honest. It's been about a week since the last time I seen them. It's been two days since Cameron and I kissed. I'm definitely not in love with him. At least, I don't think I am. I sighed. I'll have to ask Danielle and Adrian. EJ was mad that he lost... Again. Slenderman was impressed that I beat him and asked if I could teach everyone how to be better at fighting. I accepted and decided to teach them today. I put on a loose white tee and a pair of black pants. I shifted into human form and walked out my room. I quickly made my way downstairs and outside. Everyone was sitting on the grass except Slenderman and Sally who were sitting on the front steps of the mansion. I stood in front of the group and smiled.

" As you all know, my name is Lamia. I will be helping you guys out in the fighting department." I said and Jeff stood up.

" I'm not gonna take fighting lessons from a human. Especially one I can easily beat in a fight." he said as he walked away. I chuckled.

" okay, Jeffrey, how about we test that theory?" I asked. he turned around.

" Are you giving me permission to beat the shit out of you?" he asked. I just shrugged and he smirked, or tried to. His permanent smile sorta stopped that from happening. " I accept." everyone moved out of the way and Jeff pulled out his knife. I kept mine in its sheath, on my side. He slowly circled me and I just stood there, watching him. He lunged at me and I dodged. He growled and threw his knife at me and I caught it just before it made contact with my shoulder. The blade cut into my hand so it was now bleeding. I shook my head and tossed it in the air, catching it by the handle. I threw it at the ground, causing it to get stuck. He tried to punch me but I grabbed his hand and twisted his arm behind his back. He grunted and I pushed his arm up. He yelped.

" Rule number one, never underestimate your opponent, no matter how well you think you know them." I said to everyone before pushing Jeff away from me. I heard him growl at me. I walked over to everyone else and stood in front of them as Jeff got his knife. He sat with everyone else. Slenderman handed me a bag full of papers. I wiped my still bleeding hand on my pants. " in this bag are the names of all of you. I will pull out two at a time to partner you up. Don't complain about who you get. When you get your partner, stand with them over there." I pointed to the area Jeff and I just fought in. I reached in and pulled out two. " Ben and Glitchy Red." they stood and I pulled out more.

" Jeff and EJ... Kagekao and Cameron... Masky and Hoodie... LJ and Puppeteer... Lost silver and Clockwork... Bloody Painter and Ticci Toby." they all stood next to their partner. " I suggest you get to know you're partner a bit better. Remember to do what you're opponent would never expect you to do and expect what you wouldn't expect them to do. Be unpredictable. Use the objects around you, including your opponents weapon and your opponent themselves. That's all at the moment. Any questions?"

" what do we do once we beat our partners or vise versa?"  Cameron asked.

" you will report to me and I will decide what to do with you then." I answered. No one else had any questions. " you may begin when ready." I said and sat down by Slenderman and Sally. Sally sat on my lap.

" you were amazing Mia!" she exclaimed and I giggled.

" thank you Sally." I said and Slenderman placed a hand on my shoulder. I looked at him.

' you did well Lamia. Very impressive.' Slenderman complimented and I smiled.

" thanks." I said and turned my attention to everyone else. Slenderman and Sally went into the mansion. I examined everyone as they fought, looking for any faults or weak points. Jeff attacks too quickly and doesn't even examine his opponent causing him to have both an advantage and disadvantage. Kagekao is too on edge. Cameron thinks about his next move before attacking. Lost Silver hesitates. Hoodie is jumpy and easily distracted. Puppeteer relies on his strings. Masky mostly dodges instead of attack. LJ and Ben both play with their opponent and tend to repeat their attacks. Clockwork relies on agility while Glitchy Red relies on strength. EJ goes directly for a stab each attack. The first fight to end was Kagekao and Cameron. They walked over to me.

" I won but Kagekao is a great opponent." Cameron told me. I nodded.

" let's start with Kagekao. You're too on edge and tense. Let your body loosen up a bit." I told him and he nodded. I looked at Cameron. " Cameron, you think before you attack. Don't do that. You leave an opening for your opponent to attack. Instead, let your instincts kick in and don't think as much." I told him and he nodded. " you guys are free for today." Kagekao walked into the mansion and Cameron sat next to me.

" How do you know about fighting so well?" he asked.

" at the age of 4, I started training. After my parents died, I learned on my own. I got into many fights on the streets and Danielle always lectured me but I didn't care. I spent years trying to become better. I still don't believe I'm good enough so I keep training." I answered.

" your a great fighter though. You beat both EJ and Jeff. They're the best in the mansion." he said, I shook my head.

" watch them fight for a moment." he did as I said. " Jeff attacks too quickly and EJ tries to stab each attack. That gives them both a disadvantage." I explained. Cameron nodded.

" I see." he said and I continued watching the fights. As each pair finished they told me who won and I told them what they both did wrong then told them what to do instead. I got up after all the fights were over. I walked towards the trees. I started jogging to wear down some of my energy. After a while, I was suddenly pinned to a tree.
