Chapter 15

Lamia's P.O.V.

It's been a few days since Cameron and I got together. I haven't been going easier on him during training either, as a matter of fact, I've been going harder. Right now, I was doing another training session.

" Okay, listen up, I know you all probably hate me so today, I'll be testing you. " I said and everyone groaned. " I'll get a minute headstart to run into the woods. You must work together to not only find me but also grab this from me." I said, holding up a small metal rod. " first team to do so will not have to participate in training tomorrow. Those who fail... Let's just say you will wish you could murder me. No teleporting or you will be disqualified. Also, if no one gets the rod by sunset, you all will participate in tomorrow's training. Slenderman will pass out walkie talkies and tell you when you can go." I explained. None of them knew that I had a walkie talkie of my own so I will hear their conversations. I also had another rod that was similar to the real one. I started running as Slenderman handed out walkie talkies. Once I get to a place where I couldn't be seen, I jumped into a tree.

' they are released.'  slenderman said in my head after a minute was up. I climbed higher in the tree. I watched as Masky and Hoodie walked past me. I waited about 5 minutes before almost silently jumping from tree to tree until I got back to the mansion. I jumped down from the last tree and walked into the mansion. I went up to my room then out my window. I climbed up and unto the roof. I sat down and pulled out the walkie talkie then turned it on.

" I just realized something." I heard Cameron say. I was surprised that someone got the actual purpose of this test.

" what is this something?" Ben replied.

" this test isn't about us working with our partners, it's about us all working as a team." he answered.

" that makes sense." EJ said.

" let's all meet up at the mansion and Come up with a plan." clockwork said and I turned off the walkie talkie. I held the rod in my hand as I laid back. It was a little longer than my hand. I won't make it easy for them to get it. I watched as they all gathered in front of the mansion. I stuck the rod into my jacket pocket with the other one. LJ, Ben, Cameron, and EJ all stayed around the mansion, while everyone else split up then went into the woods again. I decided to toy with them and carefully stood up. I went over to the back, which was the side Ben was guarding. I sighed and silently climbed down. I stood behind him and knocked him out. I took his walkie talkie from him.

" good job figuring out what this test is about. I just had to come down and congratulate you all. Anyway, your buddy Ben is unconscious right now. You will not get the rod from me easily." I said into the walkie talkie then set it on Ben. I ran into the woods again and continued running until I reached a river with rushing water and a path of rocks going across it. I jumped from rock to rock until I reached the middle. Then I just stood there. I pulled out my walkie talkie and turned it on.

" she's good." I heard Glitchy Red say.

" maybe a bit to good." hoodie said.

" don't worry we'll find her." Masky said.

" the danger of it all." I giggled into the walkie talkie. " with each second I spend here I risk getting caught but that's okay. This is a good spot for me. I have a quick escape route and everything. I suggest you hurry and find me. You have 4 hours before the sun sets. The clocks ticking." I kept the walkie talkie on. I heard someone growl.

" where are you?" I heard Jeff's angry voice.

" I'll give you a hint." I replied. " I'm surrounded by someone's biggest fear and standing on a rock." it got silent.

" the river." I heard lost Silver say. I giggle.

" good job, lost silver. I'll be waiting for all of you." I turned off the walkie talkie and put it back in my pocket. I took out both rods and stuck the real one in my hair, which was in a bun. I held the fake one in my hand as I put a small silver ball in my mouth and waited. Everyone soon surrounded me. " you want the rod then grab it." I held it out. Puppeteer stepped forward but clockwork stopped him.

" this seems too easy." she said and I smirked.

" that isn't the real one." Cameron said and I looked at him shocked. " it's longer and a bit thicker than the one you showed us originally." he said and I clapped.

" good eyes. You're right this isn't the real one. Unfortunately, it's time that I go." I said and quickly snapped the fake rod over my knee. It made a black smoke screen. Everyone started coughing and I dove into the water. I was suddenly grabbed. I looked to see that LJ extended his arms to grab me. I pouted.

" where is the real rod?" Clockwork asked as Jeff held a knife to my throat. Cameron patted me down. I chuckled.

" you think that was the only trick up my sleeve. Haven't I told you to never underestimate your opponent?" I said as I bit down on the small ball I had in my mouth. It caused a blinding light and also a route for me to escape. I quickly ran as everyone was trying to recover. Unfortunately, EJ wasn't effected so he was chasing me. I made a sharp turn and headed back to the mansion. I ran inside and shut the front door. I ran upstairs then to my room then back onto the roof. I waited until I saw everyone enter the mansion before I jumped down and ran off again. I jumped into a tree and panted. I turned on the walkie talkie.

" three hours left." I teased then turned it off again. I sat on the branch and pulled out a pocket saw. I wrapped the wire around the branch and started moving it back and forth until I was almost through the branch. I looked at my watch. 2 hours left until sunset I stood up and waited. After about 30 minutes, EJ walked past and I stomped on the branch causing it to brake then fall. He dodged it then threw his scalpel at me. It caught my sleeve and pinned it to the tree. He threw another one and it pinned my other sleeve, successfully, trapping me. I smiled.

" where is it?" he asked and I smiled.

" my hair." I answered.

" LJ, it's in her hair! grab it!" he said and I looked over to see LJ's hand stretching to me. He grabbed the rod. I pulled my arms up, ripping my sleeves then jumped down. I turned on the walkie talkie.

" congratulations, everyone, you all did very well. You passed my test and no one will have to train tomorrow." I said into it then nodded at EJ and LJ.  I went back to the mansion and went to my room to take a nap.
