chapter 18

Lamia's P.O.V.

I dodged one of slenderman's tentacles as I stabbed another. He screeched and I backed away. He teleported and I kept my guard up as I looked around the clearing. Four black tentacles shot out at me and I quickly shifted into a cat. I jumped up and bit one. I backed away again and shifted back into my neko from. I sliced the closest tentacle and heard slenderman's screech. I started to hear static but blocked it out. Another tentacle shot at me and landed in my left shoulder. I screamed and stabbed the tentacle. Another screech as slenderman teleported and grabbed me from behind with three of his tentacles. I shifted into a cat and jumped onto one of his tentacles. I ran up it and clawed his face. He growled and grabbed me by my tail. I hissed and shifted into a human causing him to drop me. I landed on my feet. I smiled at the faceless man as he sent more of his tentacles at me. I ran towards him and dodged his tentacles. I got behind him and jumped into his back. I held my knife against his throat and panted.

" I win." I said, trying to catch my breath. My body was covered in scratches that were starting to heal and my shoulder was bleeding. My clothes had rips all over them. Slenderman's tux was no better.

' I must say, you are an excellent opponent. That knife you use, may I see it?'  he asked in my head and I nodded then jumped down from his back. I held out the knife to him. He grabbed it and examined it. '  child, where did you get this knife?'

" My parents sir. It's been passed down throughout the family and I was next in line." I answered as he gave me back my knife. He picked me up with his tentacles and we teleported. I looked to see we were in his office. I winced as my shoulder started stinging. I took off the butt of my knife as slenderman started looking for something. I pulled out my vial of aneillio. I bit on the handle of my knife as I pulled down the strap of my tank top. I opened the vial and put a drop of the liquid on my shoulder wound. It started to burn and almost immediately healed. I took my knife out my mouth and put the vial back. I put away my knife as slenderman pulled out an old looking book.

' your knife is special. So are you.'  he said as he opened the book and motioned for me to come closer. I did as he said and looked at the book. I seen a sketch of four weapons. A sword, a gun, throwing stars, and a Bowie knife. ' each one of these are weapons of a old prophecy. Each one as effective as the other. The prophecy states that zalgo will open his seventh mouth and the world will come to an end. That is unless the four prophets band together and defeat him.'

" What does that have to do with me or my knife?" I asked.

' the writing on the blade, do you know what it says?'  he asked and I shook my head. ' it translates to " even in darkness, there is light". All four of the weapons shown here contain the same writing. Lamia, you are a prophet. It is your job to help defeat zalgo.'  he explained and I laughed. He smacked me with his tentacle.

" You're serious?" I asked.

' very.'  he stated and I gulped.

" So I'm supposed to fight this zalgo guy along with three other people that I don't even know?" I asked and he nodded. " Do you know where they are?"

' no but I can find out. All I need is a drop of your blood taken from your body with your knife.'  he explained and i nodded. He handed me a vial and I took it. I pressed the tip of my knife against my finger until blood came out. I put a few drops of my blood into the vial. I gave it back to slenderman.

" I'm gonna go clean up and probably stab your brother if he touches me again. Oh and one more thing, tomorrow I'll need your help with the training session." I said as I shifted into human form and walked out his office. I started heading back to my room. I turned a corner and a knife flew past my face. I growled and looked at the person who threw it to find none other than Jeff. " I don't wanna deal with you right now." I said as I walked past him and into my room. I groaned when I seen offenderman in my room again.

" Hello kitten." He said as his tentacles slithered towards me.

" Goodbye." I said and walked back out my room. I went to the bathroom and cleaned up a bit. Then, I walked towards Sally's room and walked inside. I held back a laugh when I seen Cameron wearing a tiara and a pink boa. I silently shut the door behind me and Sally looked up from her tea party. She smiled at me and I made a shushing motion with my hand. She nodded and turned to Cameron.

" Would you like some tea?" She asked and Cameron nodded. She pretended to pour a cup of tea before handing it to Cameron. She 'poured' another cup and placed it in front of her teddy.

" Can I have some tea?" I asked as I sat at the small table next to Cameron. Cameron looked at me with wide eyes and I giggled. Sally 'poured' me a cup.

" One lump or two?" She asked and I smiled politely.

" I like my tea without sugar." I said as I pretended to take a sip. I glanced at Cameron to see his face a bit red. I set my cup down. " Why Sally this tea is simply divine." I said and she giggled.

" Thank you, Mia." She said.

" What do you think Cameron?" I asked as I turned to him.

" It's great." He mumbled, obviously embarrassed. Sally got up.

" I'm going to get us some snacks. Please excuse me." She said and left the room.

" Where were you this morning? I woke up and you were just gone. You had me worried." Cameron said.

" I was sparing with slenderman." I answered and his eyes widened. " Don't worry. I'm perfectly fine. Besides, I won anyway."

" Wait what. You beat slendy? No one's ever done that before." He said and I giggled. I learned over and pecked him on the cheek.

" Rockin' that tiara, babe." I said and winked. He blushed and Sally walked back in with a plate of cookies. " Ahh, darling, I'm sad to announce that I have to leave. My apologies, mademoiselle." I said to her.

" Oh it's no problem dear. You were an amazing guest. Please, take a cookie with you." She said smiling at me. I nodded and grabbed a cookie.

" Thank you." I said then left. I walked downstairs and sat on the couch. I ate my cookie and watched Ben lose his game multiple times. I sighed. " Let me try." I said and he handed me the remote.

" Good luck. If I can't beat it, you can't." He said and I scoffed. I started to play and eventually beat the part he was stuck on. I gave him back the remote and he gaped at me.

" Your welcome." I said, sarcastically. He glared at me and continued his game. I continued to watch until a voice rang through the mansion.

" Slendy's gone so let's party." It said and I gulped. I don't like parties.
