"Can we get some help, this girl is in labor." The lady yelled.
I looked up, my eyes locking with Jason. We haven't seen each other since that night. I saw the look of terror and concern. The lady quickly pulled him over and he helped me up.
"Do you have your car honey?" She asked me.
"No."
"Okay, I'll take you."
"I'm coming." I looked at him in shock before groaning in pain. The lady helped us to the car and got in. Jason sat in the back with me, holding me close to him. He took my hands in his, letting me squeeze them.
"You got this, you're doing amazing." I can't believe the man behind me is my ex-boyfriend.
"Almost there okay." I nodded trying to focus on my breathing with the help of Jason. Finally, we got to the hospital and Jason didn't leave my side.
"Would you like me to stay?" She asked.
"I'm okay, thank you so much for getting me here."
"Your welcome, do you want me to call anyone?"
"No, I will call a little later. Thank you for everything."
"What about you sir?" He looked at me while I looked at him terrified.
"I'm staying."
"Okay, Good luck." She gave me a hug, before leaving. They got me into a room and hooked up to everything. Another contraction came making me almost scream in pain.
"What do you want me to do?" I heard Jason's voice making me somewhat relax.
"Rub my back." He nodded and came over rubbing my back.
"Helping."
"Thank you."
Finally, it was over and I relaxed against his touch.
"Jason."
"Hmm."
"You do realize I'm going to be giving birth to our son in a matter of time?"
"I'm not going anywhere."
"Jason." I cried and screamed through a contraction, while he held me and rubbed my back.
"Breathe pretty girl, I'm here."
"It hurts."
"You're doing amazing."
Since arriving at the hospital, Jason has been so amazing. Every time I needed ice chips or a back rub he was right there. Now he is curled up against my side, with a hand over my belly. I don't know if this changes anything, but I'm glad he is here for this.
"Jason."
"Hmm."
"I need to push."
"Go head." He frowned not understanding what I actually mean.
"No Jason, the baby is coming." He jumped up, almost falling out of the bed.
"I'll get the doctor." He was scared out of his mind, we both are. The doctor came back with Jason trailing behind him.
"Heard the baby is coming." I nodded, trying to start to push. A nurse was there, ready for the baby. I reached for Jason while he quickly came over taking my hand.
"You got this, you can do it."
I believed him and pushed. Besides holding the baby, I just want my mom and sister. I wish they were here experiencing this with me.
