March 2020 (Colin's two years old)

I opened my eyes finding my little man curled up next to me. Sighing I ran my fingers through his hair, making him relax into my touch. It's crazy to believe my little baby is going to be three in just a couple of months. He opened his eyes and came over curling into my side.

"Mommy."

"What baby?"

"Me play with Jake?"

"Sure buddy, just have to talk to Aunt Sophia."

"Okay."

"Mommy is going to make some pancakes." He nodded, while I gave him a kiss on the top of his head before heading downstairs.

Last year Colin and I had moved out of my parents' house. With their help and the help of my grandparents we got a cute little house that is big enough for the both of us. I loved living with my parents, but not living with them for three years made me want to be on my own so much more.

I sighed feeling my little man wrap his arms around my leg. I'm so thankful to have this little boy in my life. He's the best, best friend I've ever had. I leaned down kissing his forehead, while he held onto me.

"I love you buddy."

"Love you mommy."

The pancakes were done, so I put them on a plate and cut it up for him. He took his plate over to the table and I followed behind him. My phone went off, looking to see it was my sister.

"It's Aunt Sophia." He smiled stuffing his face with a pancake.

"Hello."

"Hey, what are you doing today?"

"I was actually going to ask you what you guys were doing. Colin was wondering if he and Jake can hang out."

"Yea, Drew and Cohen wanted to take the boys out, so you and I can have sissy time."

"That sounds like a great idea. Well I'm going to get us ready then I'll text you."

"Sounds good love you."

"Love you too." I hung up, smiling at my little man.

"Looks like you get to hang out with Uncle Drew, Uncle Cohen, and Jake."

"And you?"

"No mommy is going to have some girl time with Aunt Sophia." He nodded and we finished up breakfast. I cleaned up our plates while he went into the living room to watch some cartoons. Since he was occupied with his cartoons, I decided to get myself ready. I pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans and a white V-neck shirt. It is still a little chilly, so I pulled on my red and black flannel.

"Mommy." I turned around finding Colin looking confused.

"How do I look buddy?"

"Pretty." He smiled.

"Thanks baby. I'm going to finish my hair then we'll get you ready." He nodded, climbing on the bed to watch cartoons on my bed. I curled my hair and even put a little make up on.

"Alright little man it's your turn." We went to his room and I pulled out a pair of jeans. He grabbed a baseball shirt and while I grabbed a matching hoodie.

"Such a handsome boy." He smiled giving me a hug. I grabbed a baseball hat and put it on his head.

"Momma, we play catch with papa?"

"We're going over there tomorrow for lunch, so I'm sure he will play."

"Okay!"

I texted Sophia we were ready before packing a few snacks for Colin.
