"Hi baby, you have a good nap?" I kissed his cheeks and scooped him into my arms. The door opened and in came Cohen.
"Look, there's Uncle Cohen." Surprisingly, he came over and sat in the chair a few feet away from us. Colin turned his head, looking right at his uncle.
"Say hi Uncle Cohen."
"Hi little man." He smiled.
"Would you like to hold him?"
"I'll probably break him."
"No you won't I promise." I gave him a reassuring smile.
"Fine."
"Go see Uncle Cohen. Mommy will be right here." Carefully I handed him off to Cohen. He set him up so he could see the both of us.
"Jason's his dad right?"
"Yep."
"Where is he?"
"I'm assuming back in Arizona. I haven't seen him since the day after I had him. He was there when I had him and stayed the night in the hospital with me."
"How was that?" I sighed thinking about that night.
"Honestly, it was amazing. He was so good with me and then him when he was born."
Colin looked at me and frowned. It was like he knew what I was talking about. He misses his daddy like I do.
"What baby?"
"Momma's boy."
"Don't be mean." I smirked. My phone went off, so I moved and grabbed my phone.
"You got him?"
"Yea." I nodded and went to the other room.
"Hey."
"Hey, I miss your face so much and that baby of yours." Kayla said.
"We miss you too."
"This is so hard without you."
"You know I will try and be there the best I can."
"Maybe I will come out there and we can figure things."
"That works."
"How are you adjusting?"
"Better, I'm glad I'm home. Colin is getting to meet everyone. Anything on Jason?"
"He's talked to Dave a little bit, but I don't know what's going on. Has he gotten a hold of you?"
"No, I sent him a picture of Colin and me, but I didn't get any response."
"Weird. Hey I got to go, but we'll talk soon. Love you both."
"Love you too and tell Dave the same."
"I will." We hung and I went back to the living room. The boys were just making faces at each other. This is the reason I'm so glad I'm home.
"Everything okay?" He asked.
"Yea." He nodded, looking back to Colin.
"You want your mom huh."
"Colin." As soon as he heard my voice he started crying. I smiled going over to them and scooping him in my arms.
"It's okay, momma's got you." I curled him up and he calmed down right away.
"Momma loves you." I kissed his forehead giving him a hug.
"Ellie, I just want to say I'm sorry for everything."
