The first time Ron realized Madie was a badass, was when she tried peanut butter. It was around Halloween and there were tons of festive candies on the tables. Later in dinner, when only a couple teachers remained, the students began to group together. Madie came over to greet a friend of hers, glancing at Ron only for a second but he could see the curious look in her eyes. When her brief conversation was over, she walked slowly to leave. Her eye caught something on Ron's plate and he glanced down to see a peanut butter cup uneaten on his plate. He had forgotten it was there, preferring the color of her eyes to the dark chocolate cover of the candy.

"What's that?" She asked curiously, and he knew in that moment that she had every intention to eat it.

"A peanut butter cup," He said.

"Aren't you allergic to peanuts?" Her friend said worriedly, shuffling slightly to put more distance between Madie and the candy. Madie rolled her eyes, touching it wouldn't hurt her. It was only if she ate it.

"I have an epipen," She said simply. "I've never tried one of those before."

"That's not a good idea," Her friend said skeptically, but Madie knew better. Not in the sense that she knew not to eat it, she was going to do that no matter what. But in the sense that she knew her friend was a total pushover.

"Too late," Madie said, grabbing the candy from Ron's plate.

The moment it was in her mouth she pulled a colored stick from her pocket with many labels and instructions. She uncapped the needle and immediately injected herself. She looked from her friend's terrified pale face, to Ron's shocked one, and Harry's rather impressed one.

"Please call Madam Pomfrey please," She said quietly, her body oddly stiff as she tried to keep herself up. A couple of the portraits rushed out of their frames along with a few teachers. Only Snape and Dumbledore stayed put, knowing well of her idiocy, or rather curiosity as she liked to call it.

"I'll take you," Ron said with a sigh, allowing Harry to help Madie's rather shocked friend. Hermione continued to eat and rolled her eyes when Madie looked over.

Madie insisted she could walk on her own, but seemed too occupied to complain against his arm around her shoulder supporting her.

Ron realized she was a badass one last time before working up the courage to ask her out. But asking out his ultimate crush wasn't on his mind during that class period. The group project was the only thing on his mind, and the only thought that came afterward was, 'Ugh'. Madie had the same look on her face as how he felt, but when she was called up a mischievous look flooded her face. Her deep eyes brightened and a hidden smiled was forced against her teeth so that he could see the pearly tips of them as she tried to keep a straight face.

"The four houses of Hogwarts were formed to give students a safe area to convene with peers of similar qualities..." Madie read from a boring piece of parchment and Ron's mind wandered to the epipen in her back pocket and he smiled at the fond memory. After her stunt, teachers were required to carry epipens and were always paranoid to see if she had hers. She looked skeptically at him, grinning like an idiot and looking towards her butt. She cleared her throat ever so subtly, and his gaze returned to her face where they belonged. Satisfied with herself, she continued to read and sent looks his way. Being as intelligent as he was, Ron thought this meant something completely different and flashed her a toothy smile. Group projects were starting to seem less painful, if it meant he could get Madie to pay him some attention.

"We don't have any Ravenclaws or Slytherins in class, so we brought some in," Madie's partner elaborated on something Ron hadn't heard.

From the back of the classroom came two nice looking girls, though not as nice as Madie. They shuffled forward with their heads low, even the girl dressed in Slytherin green.

"Meet Larry and Dede," Madie said with a smirk, those couldn't be their real names. "Larry is in Ravenclaw, and Dede is the sweetest Slytherin you will ever meet."

"But don't let that fool you, she can be just as conniving as any other Slytherin, though she is more quiet than her peers. Larry is the laziest Ravenclaw in the school," Said a partner Ron didn't know.

"Hey!" Larry protested. "I'm not lazy. The classes here just aren't interesting. I know more than you ever will about Play-Doh."

"The guinea pigs aren't supposed to talk," Madie scolded, earning a nod from the professor. "Besides, Play-Doh is the most boring interest."

Before Larry could protest, Madie's partner interrupted. "Gryffindors are known for their bravery and chivalry. They would die for those they care about."

"Slytherins would kill," Madie said. Dede nodded. "I'm not violent, but if it came down to it I would."

"Ravenclaws would help you hide the dead body," Larry looked quite happy to get a word in.

"Hufflepuffs," Madie said slowly, stepping forward and trailing the edge of the desk in front of her with her index finger.

When she lifted her finger, she inspected it finely for dust. "They're quite peculiar. The most overlooked. Now they..." She looked up at the class, giving a terrifying gaze to each student. When she reached Ron he could see the cleverness in her eyes, mixed with a dangerous sort of evil that he saw in the eyes of his older twin brothers. It meant she was gonna do something crazy that was probably against school rules.

"They would be the helpful civilian." The class seemed rather disappointed, but the look in her eyes did not falter. "Who is secretly the mass murderer that no one suspects until they're the only one left standing."

A shiver went down Ron's spine, but he couldn't help but agree. Madie was one of the only Hufflepuffs he knew, but if her house was even a fraction like her they would definitely fit that description. There was a light evil cackle at the bottom of her throat, and in the silence of the stunned and confused class, Ron let out a deep and loud laugh. Madie smiled brightly, glad someone else was also enjoying her little performance. He didn't stop laughing when the teacher got annoyed, and Madie didn't stop smiling for the rest of the day. Hermione didn't stop rolling her eyes at the two, obviously perfect for one another.
