If it weren't already intimidating enough to be dating the cutest boy in your house, his father had to be The Chosen One on top of it all. But that wasn't even the start of your problems. You could handle a man who'd spent his entire life fighting an all powerful Dark Lord, but it was Ginny Potter that you drew the line at. The famous savior of the wizarding world was a piece of cake, but chaser for the Holyhead Harpies! Now that was far too much for even you. She wasn't playing on the team anymore, but anyone who had the sheer skill to even ride a broom among such amazing ladies was someone you could admire.
For this very reason, Albus has been dreading introducing you to his family. He'd never say that outright though. He may be a Slytherin with a reputation for cruelty, but he truly is a sweetheart. So are most of the Slytherin house, not including you of course. You are a so called 'beast' with hardly any regard for the rules of the castle. From breaking curfew to breaking your arm, of course the latter was done while breaking said curfew. You were a sympathetic and quiet person, and for that reason you and Albus didn't get along well at first. Of course any girl who got into Slytherin had to have some sort of hidden bad side. For that reason he pursued being your friend. He soon discovered that curiosity killed the cat as well as nearly killing him.
You never intentionally tried to hurt Albus, but with the shenanigans you two were pulling it was bound to happen eventually. For every broken bone you got, Albus got three to match. Though he never minded. More broken limbs meant more time with you fawning over him and apologizing at every turn. You may have been a menace to teachers, but you had a soft side.
When you stepped off the steps of the train your stomach nearly melted. The knot in your chest tightened like a rag having all the water wrenched out of it. Nonetheless, you couldn't help but smile broadly.
"This is the best day of my life," You whispered with disbelief as you saw a red headed woman wave to you and Albus from the crowd. She, and about half the enormous crowd, came towards you two.
Albus looked at your wide eyes and rolled his, but you were too busy to notice. He stuck his hands in his pockets and stared at the ground as he walked towards his relatives. You were still frozen in place trying to calm your breathing and Albus grabbed your arm to pull you along with him.
Harry Potter towered over you, looking down at you with a smug look on his face. He nudged his wife with his elbow and smirked with a nod towards you. She huffed and rolled her eyes when she looked at your awe inspired gaze.
"It's not polite to gawk," Albus's uncle called over his sisters shoulder, to which he elbowed him in the stomach.
You flushed deeply. Now your hero thought you were just another groupie. Which you were, but you were also in love with her son, which had to get you some variety of brownie points. You looked down at the ground and moved to squeeze Albus's hand. It was more to reassure yourself, but it instead further alerted him to the situation. He was just as dumbfounded as you.
"No worries," Mr. Potter said, flipping his hair out of his face without moving his hands from his pockets. "I get that a lot." He winked then looked over at his exasperated wife with an all too knowing look.
"A-Actually sir," You stuttered, but not out of nervousness. You were trying very hard not to laugh, and Albus wasn't helping. He tore away his hand from yours to try to cover his mouth. He needed both hands to contain his laughter. The Potters paid no attention to their son, Harry's gaze was locked on your while Ginny's was on Harry.
"I was more looking at your wife," You said. He didn't seem to understand so you continued. "I'm a big fan of the whole saving the world, but honestly I'm more of a Quidditch person."
"Ha!" Ginny exclaimed over her husband's protests.
"You're more of a fan of Quidditch than you are of the world?" He exclaimed. "Without me there wouldn't be any Quidditch!"
You couldn't hold back your laughter anymore. Albus and his father were far more alike than you realized. "Plenty of Death Eaters play Quidditch, I'm sure they'd keep playing after they took over the world!"
"Unbelievable!" Harry threw his hands into the air.
Albus opened his mouth to say something but you quickly silenced him. "It's my line," You whispered to him. It was an inside joke you two had and you weren't about to let him take credit for your joke.
"I don't understand Spanish sir, you'll have to tone down the melodrama before this becomes a telenovela," You said.
Now everyone was laughing, Harry included. Everyone was too busy clutching their stomachs and trying not to seem crazy in the middle of a train station to get in a word. Except for George Weasley of course. It was his livelihood to be funny and he was well trained in holding down laughter.
"Me gusta telenovela mucho," He said, quickly failing to contain the last dying chuckles in his throat.
You tried to hold back a laugh at his choppy grammar, and instead took Albus's hand again. "I get to say it next time," He said rather grumpily.
"Of course darling," You said sarcastically and joining his cousins as they walked out the train station.
(A/N This was a sort of short and sweet oneshot, even though it reached 1000 words. I hope you guys liked it despite my horrible cheesy jokes! :D)
