Cas rolled his eyes at the man singing behind him. Eye of the tiger again, really?
Beethoven blasted through his blue skullcandy earphones again. Just like the previous day.
He had enjoyed his coffee with Dean before he had gotten on the bus. He had told him about his life, starting with his mother and father.
His mother, Mary, had died in a house fire when Dean was only 4 years old and his father, John, had raised him and his brother Sam their entire lives. His brother was four years younger than him and was currently attending Stanford in California, whilst his father was a mechanic in Lawrence, Kansas. Dean had gone to the University of Texas in Austin and then moved to Dallas for his current job. His father was a drunk and had occasionally beat him, but never laid a finger on Sam's hair. Dean wouldn't let him. And ever since Dean told his father he was gay, he shunned him and refused to talk to him months on end. When he visited him at the office yesterday was the first time he had visited him since he got that job.

The man sitting in front of Dean on the bus kept his mouth shut this time.
Dean was glad for it, for he was extremely annoying. Weird too. He could hear Beethoven or some sort of classical music coming out of his earphones whenever he stopped singing to pick another song.
Who listened to classical music? Especially a grown man.
He shrugged on put on Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and thought of Cas.
Castiel Novak was brilliant, Dean learned over coffee. He came from a large family, four brothers and a sister. He was the youngest brother, but his sister, Anna, was two years younger than he was. And his older brothers were named Gabriel, Lucifer (which Dean found extremely odd), Balthazar, and Michael. They all shared a different mother aside from Michael and Lucifer, who were the first borns of the clan. Then came Gabriel, then Balthazar, Castiel, and lastly Anna. His father used to have a rough time when it came with staying with more than one woman at a time, hence the large family with multiple mothers, but he was a great father, according to Castiel. He accepted his sexuality and put him through college. He was a world-famous writer as well, with multiple best-selling novels in a Supernatural series about two people traveling across the country investigating the paranormal, named Jared and Jensen. Castiel's mother wasn't very special, but got knocked up by his father and then left Castiel in his care a month after he was born. His brothers weren't as driven to get an education and fell off the deep end. His brother Lucifer was locked up in a high-security prison, whilst Michael was a policeman in Dallas, keeping an eye on his brothers Cas and Gabe. Gabriel is in the hospital due to a mugging a few months back. That's why Michael decided to become a police officer, Cas told Dean, so that things like that wouldn't happen to more people. Anna was in art school in New York, so Cas didn't see her often either. Really, they all went their separate ways.
A/N: sorry for an uneventful chapter. I just wanted to give y'all a bit of a backstory for these characters before they get to know each other more.
