Chapter 27

Dean's eyes fluttered open. The sun warmed his fair skin and he glanced over at the body laying next to him, his arm wrapped around his bare torso.

He smiled to himself. Cas looked so cute in the morning. The morning sunshine shone perfectly on him, making a sort of halo around his head.

Cas made a little groan in his sleep and then turned to the side, wrapping his blanket around himself even more. Dean laughed. He had done this all night, taking Dean's blanket away from him for himself. Dean didn't mind, he found it amusing.

He got dressed as quietly as possible and looked around at where they were at. They were surrounded by nothing but desert. Cas had probably wanted them as far away from people as possible. To keep this a secret. Dean thought.

He sat on the blanket, staring at Cas until he woke up. Once he woke up, he said the taxi should pick them up before noon.

"So are we going to tell anybody about us?" Dean asked Cas, moving around the last slice of pie in its container.

It took a second for Cas to reply, and when he did, his voice was quiet. "I don't know. It'll ruin your entire reputation in one big swoop."

Dean bit his lip. Didnt Cas know that Dean didn't care about his reputation when it came to them being together? Hadn't he told him that?

Dean set down his pie and sat in front of Cas, interlocking their hands. "Look at me."

Cas raised his head and looked into Dean's eyes. Dean smiled a bit. "I love you, Cas. I care about you more than anyone I've ever been with before." Dean brushed away a stray hair from Cas's face. "I would give up anything for you."

Tears welled up in Cas's eyes. Dean knew he didn't cry often, but he was obviously moved by Dean's words. "I love you too, Dean." He said.

The taxi arrived an hour later, and drove them back to their respected apartments.

Cas closed his apartment door and before he was able to do anything, his phone started ringing. He picked it up.

"Cas." A female voice said, shaky and out of breath, as if it took all of her energy to say his name.

"Yeah, this is him." Cas replies. "Who is this?"

"Amelia."

A/N: Okay so I don't know how to excuse my absence.... but I have been busy and stuff. Also, I wasn't sure what to do with this chapter so it's short and not much is happening, but it's just really a transitional chapter, I guess.

I hope you enjoyed. I will try and update sooner next time. Vote if you liked it and comment your thoughts! Thank you for reading!
